08 Busa turbo
« on: March 02, 2009, 01:23:02 PM »
Im installing my turbo kit on my 08 busa and when i started running my lines for my FMU and boost gauge I ran into a slight problem. On the throttle bodies I am going to tie in using the vaccuum lines towards the front of the bike instead of the rear lines correct? The rear lines has the map sensor installed to them. I just wanted to make sure I'm using the correct ports so no probs when starting up and tuning. The boost gauge i would tap a fitting to the outlet on the compressor side and run the hose correct? Same as for the wastegate up and over the engine to another tapped fitting on the outlet of the compressor? Any info helps

no, the ones facing the front of the motor are for the idle air controll valve the ones on the back are the vacume lines.compressor fitting line goes to back of wastegate. usualy tap guage into plenum but housing is fine also.

If the front are for the idle air valve and the rear have the map sensor on it, once you install the check valve to eliminate any boost being seen by the map sensor then how will the FMU see the boost to raise fuel pressure? Do I not install the check valve and have the FI light come on or have the FMU see the boost with no check valve? Am i missing or not seeing other ports that I can tap off of?

The turbo is just a regular journal bearing turbo so no restrictor will be needed. Only restrictor is needed when using a ball bearing turbo correct?
