The pilot power 2CT I admit will ware fairly fast it has reg PP center but has pilot race on sides so it will ware quickly but if you wore out a pilot road 2 your doing to many burnouts/ Stunts they are a much tougher tire ware is very good corner grip is decent
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

I have a Power 2CT on the front, couldn't wait any longer to get a Road 2 (they were backordered for months) to match the rear.

It's lookiing like I'll get 4000 to 4500 miles out of the rear Road 2 and it sticks fine.

Don't know what kind of mileage I'll get out of the 2CT on the front.

The rear is on pace for over 4500 miles, I doubt I'll see more than 5k out of the sport.

I road the pilot road 2. Seriously did not last long... They say they are good but if you ride hard normally on sport tires, dual compound tires seem to fall apart. Rear was shredded in the same time as a normal pilot power... Didnt have as much grip either and a crap profile...

I haven't had much to do with pilot power , I heard they work well on gxxrs & R1's.

I highly reccommend Bridgestone Battlax BT-015's /BT-016's , the standard the busa comes out with.

I once scratched the ball on the right side (is it the clutch cover hump?) of my fairing on the tarmac , chasing a gxxer down a twisty mountain road. To me if a tyre will get you over that far and still hangon , they've got my $$$$. Ever since I've been a staunch Bridgestone fan !

yeah bt-016's sound sweet Im goin to try them next already ordered a set of metzeler M3's for the next round, my mate tried the dual compound sport touring of the bridgestone on his 2007 1000 and the middle ripped right off though. Should have taken a picture. he is pretty hard on the throttle on the exits but to get the tire like that I think his suspension must be out.

Metzlers R value , my bro runs them & swears by em' ! I used em' on my GSXR 1100 of old, good rounded shape to the tyre, making for very adaptable/versatile lean angles in corners , I find the pilots like the old Michelin Hi-sport of the old days, real V angle to em' , your either straight up or in the corner at the lean angle dictated by the curvature of the tyre !
