Looks good Kurt! How come you guys didn't de-edge/de-burr the pistons? Just curious..... What turbo kit you running?
we did deburr them just went real slow with a dremel and then hit it with some sandpaper by hand
it is hard to see in the pics but they are done used your thread for advice :thumb:
spent around 3 or so hours on them
It is a kit made by Tony(gsxturbo) going down to see him when the motor is back in to add the W/A plenum with secondaries and megasquirt system, he is also fabbing up a water/ice tank for me. kind of like what Nem uses
-
I remember those times... Boy were they fun and the anticipation of what it will do just kills you while you are building it... 8)
-
Yeah I spent about 3hrs doing my pistons also.... :grn: Nice work on everything.... Yeah I was interested in one Tony's kits to.....I just decided to order something already finished but you can definetly get more bang for the buck from Tony and he does awesome work....I will be curious to see how yours comes out...... What size turbo you runnin? What HP you shooting for?
Cloud, you are right, anticipation is a BITCH...... I am DYING to get my kit on and get it running.....
-
it is a small 16g turbo I guess I will be lucky to get 300hp but we will see what it gets with the good gas

Looking good Kurt!
You oughta fly on that thing at the strip once you get her all dialed in.....
Is the motor fully built? You can make around 450hp with that kit....Plenty to go 7.80s.-8.00s..
IF you can ride and the rest of the setup is there.... :D
