FIRST SH.ORG and friends Track Rental Day of 2008 is :
Friday, May 16th
Gate opens 930 am
On track from 11am-5pm.
Open TestNTune from 530pm-11pm.
COST is $50.00 per vehicle (bike) that gets on the track. (one guy CAN'T ride multiple bikes for same cost) That's a rule of the track, not mine.
We need 50 bikes to cover rental fees, so gather up your friends and bring them out.
If it's anything like last year, you won't want to miss this. Lot's of fun.

as for a Friday or Sat... I'd like to see it be a Sat.. that way we can do T&T Friday night AND do the all day Event Sat :vl: (yeah I'm greedy what can I say?? I need to make up for the poor showing I made last year with the gearing popping in and out, the overheating and CO2 leaks :( )

Track is our's from 11am - 5pm.
Open Test N Tune from 530ish to 11pm. They have a bracket program on Saturday for those who want to make a weekend out of it.
Track rental fee went up.
We need 50 bikes @ $50 each to break even on track fees.
Do you think we can get that many ?
If anybody wants to take charge of grilling for everybody, speak up. Neither I, nor my brother are doing the grilling this year.
I will consider doing T-shirts this year, IF I can lock in some sponsors for them. Won't do as many.

For ANYONE that didn't go last year....the track,and prepping was great. Had no bar bikes running 7.70's,so that will tell you a litttle something. The facility was more than you could ask for...spotless.
Thanks to the Bellmans for putting this together for everyone. Come on out,you will not be sorry. Where else can you run 11am to 11pm on a 1/4 mile track for under $100??

My buddy has a GS1100 turbo bike with bars and he was only able to spectate last year. He really wants the seat time that this day will provide.
Also, is the day limited to a certain number of bikes? I am about to put this topic on a forum out of Holland. There are probably 20-30 guys that will be interested on there.

during our track rental time, I don't think there is any charge for spectator. But, i fyou plan on stayin for T&T later, standard gate fees will apply.

yeah I got my stuff unpacked and out so might as well get a few done up for folks if they wanted windscreen decals again for the event.. it was nice to see folks names and bikes like that to get more familiar with everyone.
As for other decals.. Kanji's easy enough but depends on what others you want as to if I have time to do the custom designing..
so we dont' bastardize this thread with stuff not to do with the event send me a pm on what you're lookin for and I'll let you know leadtime.

I'm touched. Truely. Its been sometime since I've been on the boards much. Just saw this so thought i'd chime in. I have put in for the day off about 2-3 weeks ago. I'm half scared of my bike right now because i did get flipped off of it at the end of last year. The bike is fixed. nothing really except for some rash. All new parts thanks to state farm. I swore to get rid of it after this happened. I want to race but its going to take some doing to get my nerve back. But maybe this would be a good day to do just that. I would really like to get a hold of a catalyst drag seat first. My seat lets me slide to much out of the hole and screws me up every time with the clutch. Schnitz is out of them so if anyone knows of anywhere else I could get this PLEASE let me know asap.

On track from 11am-5pm.
Open TestNTune from 530pm-11pm.
COST is $50.00 per vehicle (bike) that gets on the track. (one guy CAN'T ride multiple bikes for same cost) That's a rule of the track, not mine.
We need 50 bikes to cover rental fees, so gather up your friends and bring them out.
If it's anything like last year, you won't want to miss this. Lot's of fun.

due to a phenomena in Mi. known as Rainsday (formerly known as Wednesday) I have only run my turbo twice. I still don't really know how fast it will go. So I would fit that class.

thanks boyz... I was def smilin when I saw that time ticket..
my personal goal was to just come under my best ET from last year of 8.6 on the stock motor....
with my second pass being an 8.4 with a crappy run I was like noway.. YEEEHAAA... LOL then to see the 8.03 ticket I nearly peed my pants from excitement :lol:
Buz was a life saver... wish nem didn't have his own gremlins to deal with.. I'm sure he would have gotten me into the 7's by end of day... :wink:
Everyone was so helpful - you can't beat this group of folks that's for sure... :thumb:
