Here we go kiddies, I've got a great idea for you to win a complete Tiger Racing sponsorship package. From now until Midnight May 16th, you guess how fast I'll go at the Maxton May event and the closest wins a complete Tiger Racing sponsorship. That means anything I make for your bike is yours. This does not include our new Electronics line of products.
My recent record run is 228.803mph and I plan to go faster than that. So post up your guesses and only 1 guess per entry. The closest to the mph wins. Now in the event I should fail or motor blows up, my fastest speed at the meet will be the winning speed. You may guess down to the thousandths of a mile per hour if you like.
This contest is for SH.org members only so Good Luck to all and post, post, post. If you're lurking and not yet a member, then join and guess.

A dream brought to light yes, but not a fairy tale at all in my opinion Guy. But going 240+ would surpass the progressive nature of your previous performance, and Maxton has proven to be a fairly progressive venue for all the dedicated long term racers like yourself.
Nothing would be better then to see you prove us bastards wrong though, that's for sure! :thumb:

Just took the "Tiger" out for a shake down pass on my secret test road. 4 lanes wide, 5 miles straight, no side streets. No wind, 65F, ran with both the dry and the wet. Shifted like a dream, practiced a good tuck, she felt great. the tune-up feels awesome and the GPS gave me a woodie when I read it. I'm not telling you what, but half of you will lose if i can duplicate this pass at Maxton.
My secret front fender was not installed yet because it still at the painters but I'm hoping it gives me an additional ??+mph.

In case anyone forgot what this thread was all about to begin with.

I just love the anticipation don't you. I'll post the runs when I return home and announce the winner then. Too tired to keep typingggiowq9878yh21lnmfpkiierinfinnnnnnng...................
-
Anybody know what guy ran??? Yes guy the anticipation is killing us
-
OK, here's the skinny.
1st run we ran a 225.9 and felt good about the tune up and the shifting. I could have tucked better, but it felt good. We went thru the traps with the shiftlight on.
I took 2 teeth off the rear and figured we could get a little more mph.
2nd run was a 222 and the bike just wouldn't pull the gear. We were disappointed but not down and out.
We came back the next morning (today) and left the tune up alone figuring I could change the way I used the nitrous in different gears. Dry shot 1-2-3 and wet system 4-5-6, but we had a mis-shift in 3rd gear and a backfire but we kept on going.
after the missed shift, it went into the rev limit and then I tried to shift into 7th gear. We ran a terrible 203mph and we knew we were slow.
Came back to the pits and found we blew the airbox apart, bent the butterflys slightly and blew the #1 header tube off the mid pipe. we inspected everything and fixed everything.
I put the 2 teeth back on the rear and juiced up the dry shot a bit.
4th run was a 226.7 and we felt happy again because it felt better then ever and was ready for a larger wet system load. The winds were really kicking up, 23 knots side gust at the finish line and tower.
We came back and changed the wet system tuneup and added another 35hp and went back out.
We sat on the line for about an hour waiting for the wind to slow down, it never did and the race was called due to wind.
The winner is Bajabug with a winning guess of 229.000
Bajabug, please email me your shipping address and what you would like from Tiger Racing.
The only saving grace was that we captured all the APS/F records in 1650, 2000, 3000 and 3000+
Thanks to everyone who played and we will try this again the next time we go out.
We appreciate everyones guesses and your support.

I just wanted to publicly say thanks to Guy for the sweet sponsorship. I picked out a number of his products which will complement my bike very nicely. Many of which i actually needed... He even included a shirt and hat, which i will most defiantly be wearing at my races to come this summer. Ill update everyone with pictures of the bike before and after when the parts arrive. So thanks to Tiger racing and especially Guy for putting on such a sweet contest, one that i was very fortunate to win.

I glad you won, but I'm a tad dissapointed... I was so wishing for a solid 250mph!!!!....maybe next time??? However, I do understand that big MPH is harder to gain than 1/4mile times.
