Title: sprocket
Post by: turbo1000 on June 04, 2008, 09:20:30 AM
Can anyone tell me, is the B King sprocket the same as the Gixxer 1000? I am trying to get a sprocket from Sidewinder and they have no info on the B King yet It looks the same as my buddy's 07 1000 But I was wondering if anyone knew for sure

What tooth count did you go with? How do you like it?

Went with standard gearing as running the turbo but i've just ordered a 45 tooth as struggling to pull the wheel up in 6th at anything above 150mph  :D :D

I'M running a Big CC racing stage 2 kit which is making 430bhp but should make more like 500+ once i get the rods fitted. They are in the process of building a supercharged b king at the moment

430 hp! that's awesome. That has got to be a blast. How much extension on the swingarm are you running? Any idea on when they are going to have their supercharger kit ready to go?

Stock wheelbase, now I get the 6th gear wheelies :P  I have a 01 gixxer 1000 with a stage 3 Velocity Racing turbo (404 hp) , so I thought I would try something different on the King and go with the supercharger. Besides ever since seeing the concept bike and Waiting 7 friggin years for Suzuki to get off their butts to build it, it needs that charger back where it belongs. Thanks for letting me know when you hear something. Good luck with the bike, you ought to get about 15000 miles out of that front tire!! :thumb:

18/43
It sucks, in my opinion, I don't get why they would gear it the same as a Busa.

What gearing are you going to Turbo?

I am thinking of dropping the front to a 16, and leaving the rear at 43.

I went 17/44 and I think it's perfect. Chain stays the same that way as well.

You think there isn't enough adjustment in the chain to handle a 16/43?

What do you feel in the 17/44? Im guessing more grunt down low for a little speed up top?

Hey Woodsy, unless ya got something to prove leave it alone as long as it dependable. There was a topic on this couple yr. ago around the time when Mr. Hank's busa put down 702 hp at a dyno shootout. alot of the big dog's came out said 430 hp  was about all you could reasonably put down to the tarmac. Oh love your bike that bike is off the hook!!!!!! Peace 8)

Need/want a 17T front sprocket for a '08 B-King.

'05'-6 GSX-R1000 17T will not work. Is the '07~'08 GSX-R1000's front sprocket different than the '05~'06?

The b-king is the same as the '08-'09 hayabusa front sprocket.  Let me know if you need one.

Man this thread goes back a while.

I see a few B-King forum names here.

Anyway, the 08 Busa and B-King are same.

I am using 17/45 and it woke up! :thumb:

Same chain.
