Title: Backfiring with Ti-Force 4-2-1-2 and map from power commander website
Post by: dallasfireman on July 26, 2008, 01:46:04 PM
Help! I just installed the Ti-force 4-2-1-2 on my '08 and it is now backfiring on deceleration betweem 6000-8000 rpm. I had to remove the pair valve on my '04 to solve the backfiring problem but the Gen II doesn't have a pair valve. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Or does anyone have a custom map that does not backfire?  Thanks.

Yes the 08 does have a pair valve. Lift up the tank and on the throttle side of the bike look for access port into the air box. You have to block off the access port into the air box. Let me see if I have photos......Pull off the black line, put electrical tape or a nipple over the air box opening and your good to go. I don't have a photo, but it's right there......
