Looks like your steppin the bike up! Very nice!

What state are you in? Are you going to run in AMA's Pro Street class or MIROCK's Pro Street class? or some of both?

Thanks for all the compliments. I am usually in a rush, and I never have time to take pictures. This time around I am going to take pics and post them up. I am enjoying this project. Curious to see what I can get out of a piggyback system??? Jason, I will make all the Maryland races. I will try for Attco. Your bike is lookin good. I am sure you will do well.

I never really thought about the secondaries. I'll let you know tomorrow when it shows up. I went with the prostreet 2 tank. I appreciate all the compliments. I'll mock up the bodywork tomorrow and get some pics up.

My prostreet 2 tank works with my ultra plenum with secondarys. Space the front mount up about 1/2" just so in sat nice and not on the frame.

Yeah, should be good cause the ultra's sure seem taller than your plenum..........so sweet dreams

Not yet, gotta buddy just bought one for his 1000 for this season so will have feedback then. Sure sound like a sweet set up though.....just a little more busy'r than a gann imo

Yes there is alot going on but, the price seems right. If you set it up one way it shouldn't be too bad. I think switching it back from on style to the next might be a pain. I would like to get some more info so I could decide.

We run and are dealers on the Hays clutch. It's the baddest thing out right now. Tim just changed his marketing to where you have to buy it all as one unit with his outer basket and everything. All in all it's a better deal that way and it keeps the tuning aspect a lot tighter if always using the same mfg componenets... :thumb:

Started to fit the bodywork tonight. Everything is going well so far. My biggest problem is finding a place to mount the CO2 bottle. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know. The only place I can't mount it is in the swingarm. The battery is going down there.

Here ya go.....nothing fancy but it works, secure and easy to turn on without taking anything apart. Was thinking of mounting it on the underside of the subframe also.....haven't got to that yet for this season though

Looks clean. Is that a remote regulater on the top of your subframe? I have the regs on the bottle and it is a little cluttered and hard to find room to mount. Your bike looks great! How have you been running?
Title: Re: New Pro Street
Post by: Nem on January 30, 2009, 08:29:49 PM
Thanks!

Yeah, its the remote hi/lo set up from cycle-tek. Really happy with it cause of the reason of not having the regs on the bottle valve, etc.

Ran into some gremlins last season and when I finally figured it out I hurt the motor. But managed a 7.99 right before it happened.

Thanks Sean. I'm hoping for a good year. Would you believe I dropped 30 pounds off the bike so far!! I put the water inj tank and pump up front. I almost think I need a turbo upper to get some more room.

Ya, this thing was a tank!! I really can't wait to see what kind of MPH it will pull now that it has been on a diet. It always ran good on the back half. I could not get the front half where I thought it should be.

Yes a turbo upper will give you that..Get itt now since you have to get other things painted..30 pounds well yes since you got rid of your 20 pound seat and your 10 to 15 pound old tail section.... :D  Looks great..

Don't know the specifics but you need to put a resistor in its place
Title: Re: New Pro Street
Post by: Nem on January 31, 2009, 11:07:14 PM
Depending where you want the level at you can put a 50ish ohm resistor and it should put you around half tank

Thanks, unfortunately it looks like this right now. I would love to see that killer back up at the Valley. I do miss those days.

Im going to run Mirock. If things look good, I will try Atco. Most of the AMA races are too far for me. Last year I was averaging 8 to 9 miles a gallon towing my trailer!

This is all your fault. I called you to see where I should buy wheels and you said I could spend the money elsewhere and get more out of it. So, here it is. You where right, I think it is really going to pay off. You can throw a leg over it anytime you want. See you in Maryland.

It is all up to the mechanic now. Out of my hands. My fault for waiting so long, but there is nothing I can do now but wait. If I can pick up my motor and have the bike ready, I will seriously think about going. You got any pull with those boys down in PA????? LOL

I would love to say yes, but the motor is not my only problem. He will get to it when he can. I can't imagine the work he has going on right now. I still don't have my arm back from the welder. None of the plumbing has been done. The list goes on. I WILL BE READY FOR MARYLAND. Thanks for the help anyway.

Tried the 17 but with the .5 offset trees it get real/too tight.

Went back to a 16" for the much valuble 1/4"

If you're gonna run a dot 17" I would recommend the 1" trees.

No shortneck yet.....no need for the clearance yet.....plenty of room between tree and tire with 3" ground clearance with a dme 1.5" pan.
