Title: 03 gsxr1000 loud knockin

bike ran hot.    now has knocking noise   
   looking in the throttle bodies i can see a green fluid on the valves   

  smells like gas
  user only has run 93 oc    never ran green antifreeze only orange.

any ideas on knocking or the green fluid?

 i"m not sure why its not the same color  but it sounds like coolant/anit freeze .time for a new head gasket
and maybe new new rod,crank and bearings

 the knocking is probably a rod.

we drained the oil last night, it was full of little copper bits... going to pul the motor this morning

crank journles looked good exept one, but it was just scuffed?...
   one of the bearing showed a slice of copper, but not enough to explain all the bits that was in the oil.

havn't gotten into the head yet, prob tommorow

carlio rods

I have had a few 1ks and the number three journal is always the one that shreds the bearings .

When you rebuild it put a high flow oil pump in it

is that just the high flow gear like on the busa?

 Thanks for all your help Dave!   This is the deepest i have ever been into any motor.   have only replaced my busa tranny before

where do I get new bearings from? how do I know which ones to order?

You should never see copper from a bearing, i just tore down another 03 motor , with the same problem.
Copper chips in pan, it had 2 rod bearings bad.
