yeah was more convenient to mount fuel pressure regulator, didn't seem to have a problem with it when it was running. If I have a problem I'll most likely get a low profile breather cover and run with your idea about the catch can. Thanks!

I wouldn't use a low profile breather cover either. I put one on my bike and it nothing but push oil out into the catch can. I switch back to stock to fix the problem. Only problem I see being where you have it now is it's design to baffle into that cover so you don't have oil going into your air box or catch can but they way you have it the cover won't baffle and work. You can try just keep a eye on it! It shouldn't push any oil just running. Mine didn't on the street or dyno but once I got to the track it was all over the place. :thumb:

The main thing is that you are having fun. What size motor did you decide to ge with?

good, putting a pro-street gt35 turbo kit on it now,did the ecu that i flashed for you work out???lmk if you need any help.....peace...... :thumb:

O yeah I almost forgot, with my left leg issue. I put m left leg on top of the peg and the peg holds my left foot up for me. I leave with just my right foot down and the bike leaned over the right a little but it straightens up as soon as I leave. So no problems launching with leg!

The motor is all stock, even the cams. decided to learn how to ride first and build motor later. I haven't even sprayed it.

good, putting a pro-street gt35 turbo kit on it now,did the ecu that i flashed for you work out???lmk if you need any help.....peace...... :thumb:
Yeah map working perfect, I had to turn the fuel pressure way down. I thought the map was the problem but it was the dam flapper valve. I did the large airbox mod and didn't plug the line that used to run to it. So the bike was running really poorly and breaking up real bad. I pluged the line back up turn the fuel down and the bike was running perfect. I'll be back down there this winter. i wish i could make it to Bradenton on the 22nd are you going?

looks awesome! how much you wiegh? how long is it? more than likelly you would do better with a strut! if you are over 200 pounds and bike it 70+ inches with that flat slick you will do way better with a strut!
looks great and great times for never having raced!

lol it was the third pass, 1st time at 1/4 track. The only thing done to the head is the guides were pressed for cam clearance and 65lbs springs. Last Sat.day went to local track and had a 1.333 60ft. I'm going to try to be at Rockingham Nc the 22 & 23 if not will be back at Budds Creek June 5-6. Thanks :thumb:

ANY UPDATES?? :D
Mirock June 5-6 went to the fourth round when it started raining. They were good about it and paid the 9 of us left out of around 51.
I use the shinko Hook-up, 60ft dropped to 1.31 so no more M/T flat slick. I will be racing Mirock july 17 & 18 street E.T and Quick 32
-
got some paint on it yet?

strait into the 8s, wasting no time :thumb:

won the shut up and drive July 15th http://www.motormiledragway.com/_mmd_2008/news.php
won first round at Mirock, 2nd round clutch went out. Bike when 8.53 @ 161 with a 1.25 60ft the best 60ft Ive had. I love the way people look
at you when you tell them thats with a stock hand clutch.
I switched to the Shinko Hook-Up Drag Radial from a m/t flat slick and the 60ft dropped and the mph picked up, so happy with that!

Those are some great times. You need to get someone to sponsor you

Thanks, I had to look at the time slip twice just to make sure it was right. lol I went that 1.25 then had to come right back to staging lanes and went a 1.29 then the next round my clutch starting slipping it went 1.40.
Over the winter I'm going to try to build a REAL STREET bike to race next year. Then if that works out then to Pro Street. I still have alot ,
alot, alot.... to learn and I'm just taking it slow and trying to get better every track day :thumb:

You and other people may disagree with what Im about to say.........If I were you, I wouldnt buy a slider. I would spend that money on other things. You already average 1.2 something 60ft. with the clutch setup you already have. If you add a slider, you might gain 1 or 2 tenths....1.25 60ft or so. I dont think 2grand is worth 2 tenths off your 60ft. You can get 3 tenths or more on the big end with nitrous.....and it will be cheaper than 2 grand.
Just my opinion

I dont disagree with you. I bought a slider not to get a better 60ft but to be more consistent. I'm setting the bike up for quick 32, which is a bracket class.
Just trying to run the same et each pass.
-
i think you are pretty consistant right now, but a slider will help you to run dead on everytime for a bracket class.
-

Thanks. I'm going to try to find a wrecked 08 around tax time, and use it to run crazy 8's with a stock clutch. Dont want to get to use to that slider and forget how to use that stock clutch lol

Running way behind this year. I guess late is better than never lol.. Sent crank out for race prep. Lighten & balanced removed counter gear.
Brought 3 H~Beam rods. Went to order 4th one, its the 5/16 bolts none in stock 5 week wait. So I'm putting the motor back togetter with stock rods to make the next Mirock :( . When I get the H~Beam in, I will be tearing the motor back down to install them asap then its :bmg: time!
O yeah almost forgot, once the busa it finished. Then I'll be building Jackpot JR. 08 gsxr1000 for Street ET. & Crazy 8's. Heres some photos, garage lighting doesn't give the paint job justice. I'll be taking some more outside when bike is finished.

What color green is that? Is it a candy?
Yes, House Of Kolor. Its a urethane kandy organic green sprayed over orion silver. It hasn't been wet sanded yet, getting some airbrush work done next week. Then back to painter to be cleared and wet sanded.
-
Its like a twin of Nems bike. looks good man.

i was thinking about painting mine a candy green as well. Ive had the paint in the garage for a couple years now.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Its been a rough year, still haven't make it to the the track this year. I should be in the next couple weeks.
Thanks for taking the time to view the build. I'm going to make some Mirocks and do some racing in Florida this winter.
-
Its been awhile since I last posted, recap. 2011 season ended bad, motor issues. 2012 season started April at Mirock in Maryland. First pass on bike was that Friday test & tune. Didn't have enough weight on slider, bike was slipping threw gears on top-end. Fixed the problem by Sunday. Make it to the 1/4 semi 8.14 at 159.93mph. Didn't know to clean the pickup so when I dropped the pan I found a pot of gold. 2 spund rod bearing. Ended up missing the rest of the season. Since then the entire motor is fresh from the crank to the cams, I've also done a couple of chassis changes and added a SB6. Running alittle late this year but should be headed to dyno next Monday hoping to make Maryland Mirock. I've also purchased an 08 Busa roller I plan to build stock wheelbase for crazy 8's and street et.

-
Do the officials ever say anything to you about rocking back and forth in the lights like that?
No, but I figured out what was going on. I was putting my leg out beside me and the bike would pull forward so I would have to let off gas to stop it. I started putting my foot out in front of me, so now I can hold it still when it pulls me into the second staging bulb.
