Here are a few pics of my bike now. Powder coated and installed the swingarm from SPARKY1397R. And installed a +6 street tail on my bike. Need to pick up my chain guard today. Sent it out to get it powder coated black also. Need to powder coat the license plate bracket black also.

No brackets needed. It bolts on just like a stock tail. Only the the race tails need brackets/supports.

Nice Work Frank. :TNOS: :thumb: :thumb:

looks good. will the wheel/tire fit up in the tail? i'd like to do something like this but i want to tuck the tire away a little.

Just tried to post up some new pics of mine also(Chris powdercoated the frame, pegs, brackets, etc.,added a black front fender, and completely rebuilt the motor including bearings,rods,pistons/rings,all new valves with ported head)but naturally i'm havin' a bitch of a time gettin' it done, after typin' in the text i can't get the "paste" to come up.I'll keep fiddlin' with it,but may have to wait 'til the ol' lady comes home tomorrow...or flag down one of the neighborhood kids. :thumb:

Hi Dave,
Bike's doing great since Chris rebuilt the motor(think i have 500 miles on it ),and with the ported head made 261 hp on 91 octane in 108 degree AZ heat so i'm happy as a hog in slop.
Couple weeks ago he threw on some new Michelin Power Ones,an AEM A/FR wideband along with a boost gauge, etc. and i'm lovin' the powdercoated frame, pegs, etc.
Hope you guys are well out there, and tell Brian i said hey if you run across his old ass.
-
Will do when I see him. Glad everything is going good. Nice to hear about the bike. Any new updated pics? I'll be be posting new pics this weekend of mine.

I'm guessin' you guys are all snowed in and it's colder than a well digger's ass over there at the moment,if the cabin fever gets too bad you can fly out here for a weekend(if you can even catch a flight)and take mine...still in the 70's and women down at the beach in bikinis. :thumb:

19 degrees here this morning.
Just fired up the heater in the garage to take the chill off, so I can remove the swingarm on my bike.

Mornin' Dave,
I see you're gettin' dumped on over there.
I just got back from tryin' to get up to Big Bear(mama and her sister/daughter/grandson,etc. went up yesterday and me and the dog were supposed to drive up this morning in the Jeep),raining hard and windy here(and snowing up there),made it 15 miles and turned around(fuck that snow out here in the mountains too,i lived in that shit for 35 years and had my fill :thumb:).Looks like we're(me and the dog)stuck here at home and have to burn up some ribeyes on the grill/lay around watchin' TV all day...supposed to be dry and sunny tomorrow so i'll get the bike out.

New rotors and stainless steel brake lines and rear sprocket. Also, swap out the gold calipers for black ones. Will get some new pics of the bike after I bleed the front brrakes and get it back outside.

Some motor work and new front forks. Swapped out my gold forks for silver ones and had them lowered internally. Installed my fairings today. Hell of a guy to work with. :tu: Top notch quality work too.

How much of a hassle to swap the Gen 11 forks on a Gen 1?I want to get rid of my crappy old gold forks and get the same set up you have.

secretive..lol

they arent gen 2 forks. They are gen 1 forks that are lowered internally.

Had the bike out yesterday for awhile. First time since having all the work done done by whtrthanu Site Sponsor. He did a great job, bike ran better than it ever has. And what a difference with the forks being cut in lieu of running the spacer to lower the front end. Cant wait to get it out again.
