Title: STARTER CLUTCH DRIVING ME NUTTS!!

I HAVE CHANGED THE STARTER CLUTCH GEAR ASSEMBLY 4 TIMES ALREADY!PART NR.12600-24850.IT MAKES A TERRIBLE NOICE IN THE MOTOR AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT ENGAGE.ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.MY EMAIL ADRES shanes2005@hotmail.com.DOES THE GSXR 1000 GEAR ASSEMBLY FIT?

 1K will not fit. Likely bad starter clutch.

1999 busa.no mods.the NEW startor clutch is starting to make a knock sound when starting.

i bought a new 06 starter(longer shaft) and a new gear that the starter turns.it has more teeth on the 06 models.
i also replaced the small cover as the starter shaft is to long and touched the old thinner cover.the motor turns better
and i think my problem is solved.why did it take suzuki 6 years to change the desighn?it has cost me a small fortune to
sort!

There was a starter upgrade for the Busa since 2003. Many dealerships took care of this when it came out.
