Title: Hayabusa GEN1 secondary fan installation
Post by: InlineR on June 04, 2010, 06:07:02 PM: Well after overheating in rush hour traffic and having to sit on the side of I-75 for a few minutes I decided to look for better cooling.

First I started by using Redline Water Wetter and installing a Schnitz racing coolant temp switch. I also sourced a pair of 08 hayabusa fans on Ebay for 35$ shipped!!

I started by removing the factory plug and using one I had on hand..

I ran the wiring thru the front fairing so it wouldnt melt on the engine or headers

I wired it in to the existing harness

guess if I bought both I could sell the second fan to another GENI user for there secondary fan.

You beat me to it. There is always SOMEONE that will need that. I guarantee that. Believe me, that is one of the best bang for your buck cooling purchases you can do aside from the second fan. Just give yourself the option of the manual switch though and you will be completely set.

looks like those puple and green wires are from a msd Box. cool
