Does anyone make those quick push botton seat pins for Gen 2's?
-
the frame is threaded, and seat hardware has through holes, unless you want to drill the frame out i dont think they are gonna work
-
I thought you had to drill ur frame out for them to work on the gen 1's also?
I just leave one seat bolt in. I take the seat off all the time to flash the stock ecu. plus it is ligher.
I would like to get some seat pins so I don't have to take the one bolt in and out all the time. just don't like the idea of drilling the frame out
I would probably take one if they were available. just one and only use it on one side like I only use one bolt.

Just looked it up. you have to drill out the frame with the original also.

drill out frame. push pin with the balls to hold it in place, and then etend the pin out to go through the seat to hold it on.

Yes, you do have to drill out the frame; however, I think the gen II seat bolt diameter is larger so the gen I seat pins won't work. I'm not 100% of that but the last time I looked at mine I remember they were different.
Please post up and let us know if you try it and it works or you find some that fit. I'd love to have some for my gen II.

I never had to drill the frame on my GEN 1 for seat pins, only had to drill the seat bracket. Gen1 busas the seat bolts thread into the seat bracket, gen2 they thread into the frame.

Please tell us.

I'd like to do this with my gen1. I have my ams-1000 under my seat. It would be easier and faster to make adjustments with the quick release seat pins.
-
i put Gen 1 quick seat pins in mine. No problem

Quick seat pins are nice for when your are at the track, but on a bike ridden daily I would not use them too many thefts out there.
The quick seat pins make it too easy for a theft too steal your seat, battery or ECU.
The bolts on the seat are like locks , they help keep an honest person honest.
