Good to see both happening :tu:
-
Can't wait to see the outcome. So you parted out the LSR bike to rebuild it as a stage 2 street bike? I'm goin off the the stock swing arm, and small turbo.
-
I was wondering why you parted a turbo bike to just build another turbo bike. Didnt the LSR bike have a RCC turbo as well?
-
Are you both plan to rider more on the streets? :bike:
Nice projects :tu:
Keep us posted....

yes the LSR bike had an ultra kit from RCC, but we decided to pull away from LSR...and to have a bike sitting around with all those high end components did not make sense. So we decided to rebuild it into a street bike with less horsepower...
-
Are you both plan to rider more on the streets? :bike:
Nice projects :tu:
Keep us posted....
yes we are going to do more street riding, the harley does not have enough HP , this will make it better and look cool and different aswell... so we will have a stock 08 Busa, 03 turbo Busa and a turbo Street Glide for the street...

I think you got the turbo from our LSR bike, I sold it to Richard, and he sold it to you.... very low mile system..

So what kind of power are you going from and now looking for as a street bike on the new build?
Still doing my research for a Turbo Gen-II build. Just wondering at what point Turbo power is to much for a streetbike (only planning a few LSR events a year)?
Powder coating looks great! :thumb:
-
this bike will be Trilliums street bike, it will have 250hp or so, no motor mods...., I had a 250hp street bike prior to turning it into a LSR bike and it was fun and very reliable, the 550hp LSR bike was fun on the street also but a little much.. it all depends how fast you want to go at the LSR events,???? good luck...
-
started the assembly process

funny how the camera makes some of the parts look dirty in the pictures....
-
Looks good, probably a super simple build after what you've already done :thumb:
I learned a ton from having my fist little turbo, that bike we'll be great at stock length.
-
very simple, just the basics, daily rider and fun as hell, no worries what so ever, just like my first turbo bike...
-
What size Turbo and what engine mods?
-
What size Turbo and what engine mods?
I have no engine mods, the motor is stock, we are trying to keep this thing low budget for the street. I never had problems with my past stage 1 on a stock motor, 8psi boost only... as for the turbo, to be honest, I dont know, its one of Richard stage ones, never asked, just picked it up went from there....
-
Looks great Jody, you have good taste, very sanitary. :thumb:
So will we ever see you at a Maxton or Loring event anymore? Bring out the turbo Harley and set some records!
Dean

you should see us at Loring and we want to go to Maxton with Bill one more time.....

I did not realise there was a difference in wiring harnesses. The motor I got was a 2007, so is the harness. The rest of the bike is 2003, I plugged everything in and when I turn the key on, the right flasher was on instead of the headlight, when you put the flashers on the headlight flashes.... weird, Once I closely inspected my old cut up harness and compaired it to my new 2007 one, the pins in some of the plugs are not the same, the amount of wires is also different.... now I am looking for 2007 controls I guess ...???? anyone else run into this....
-
I did the same thing. The newer handle bar controls have extra wires for the 4 way flashers.
-
thanks.... will look for the right ones.... when does the newer one start.... 2005 2006 I know 2007 has them
-
I believe 04 was the first year of the flasher/hazzard switch in the US not sure on Canadian bikes. US part # is: 37200-33E60 for the R handlebar switch.

What a guy, part number and all. :D
-
thanks , found a set of 07 controls, I also found out that you can just re pin the plugs to match each other, a little work but that will work also..
-
Yes...you can repin them if you know what you are doing. it was easier for me to just buy another one.
-
why did you run the vacuum line to the throttle bodies, instead of the plenum like most say to?
-
I have the vacuum line from the waste gate going to the plenum and one from the plenum feeding a possible boost gauge,,,, the others are fed from the throttle bodies... my last stage 1 and my ultra system was fed like this also, as per Richards instructions, just fallowing what he told me to do .... thanks Jody
