Title: WWW.WILMINGTONMILE.COM
Post by: 106mm on January 31, 2011, 02:53:08 PM
The WWW.WILMINGTONMILE.COM website is now in existence. It was originally used for an audio/video presentation to city officials and Port Authority members in Wilmington and Clinton County, Ohio. Those officials are now contemplating the pros and cons of an event in their town. WWW.WILMINGTONMILE.COM now has a place for you to make comments and get on our email list. I'd like to see comments from probable attendees, something about you and the people who would attend the event with you. I'd also like to see why you would like to see this event occur. No personal information will be seen or used by other parties, this is just for Wilmington officials and us.
WWW.WILMINGTONMILE.COM will eventually be a forum for discussing all aspects of a possible race in Wilmington, Ohio.
A RACE HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED. This is simply a method by which we can gain some detailed information about possible participants and spectators. Let's take this opportunity to show the foilks in Wilmington that The Wilmington Mile will be fruitful for everyone involved!
Thank you in advance and feel free to post this in whichever forums you choose.

I think you are doing a great job Sean.

Best wishes to you on all your hard work.

The people in the LSR community that I have talked to really appreciate the time, effort and persevierance you are doing to get this race up and running.

Please feel free to reach out to any and all of us to help you with your efforts.

There are many people on here who have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in many different areas of business and other endeavors.  Please don't hesitate to try and tap into the vast pool of talent on this and the landracing.com forums for help and advice.  That includes not just on your proposal and getting approval for the race, but also for the running of it.

I volunteer to be a motorcycle tech inspector.  Todd taught me well!  I never watched him tech bikes each time and failed to learn something.  I just wonder who taught him.

Sean,

Who sees the comments?  Is this accessed by the Wilmington Port Authority council or just the locals trying to put it on?  Mainly wondering what kind of comments are going to help the cause or is it just a numbers estimate?

The comments will be edited down to specific quotes and only give initials of each respective author. The finished product will be a page on the site, therefore visible to any member of the site (which will include officials in Wilmington/Clinton County). I have a cool idea for this. I think you'll like it!

Still working out the nuts and bolts of the site. My vacation threw me off a few days, so we will debut this Friday (3-18-11).
Anyone interested in being a mod? If so, please PM me.

Just tell all your friends about the website! When we get a sizable member list and a thriving site, I'll get back in touch with Wilmington officials.

Lots of pics from today (Saturday) at Maxton are at www.wilmingtonmile.com
Due to the wind, the pics are mostly from the pits. I'll have more and better pics tomorrow.
