I have a Gen 1 Busa, I am currently in Germany and trying to get her to pass inspection, they require that my exhaust be quieter ( aint that some s#!t!) any way i can get the decibels down just long enough to pass? I heard that brillo pads in the exhaust will work but you have to take it out immediately after. BTW i have yoshimura rs-3 pipes. Are there silencers that i can get? I need help bad!!

He is in Germany and might have an idea as to how to help you.
Also, you could check here  http://www.200mph.net/smf/index.php Some of your mates on your side of the pond might have a better perspective on what will or will not work to pass inspection. Good luck!

You can buy fiberglass packing made specifically for exhaust systems and stuff it in there. I know Muzzy sells it, already encased in a perforated canister that you just insert into the can.

thanks for the posts. I bought some of the packing so i'll remove my pipes tonight and see what i can do with it.

I was in Stuttgart - Don't go in when the Old Guy is there!!! Go when the Young guy is working...
LOL - He passed my Turbo Busa with the Bike running in the enclosed Trailer - LOL

i used brillo pads in a dirt bike once to get it thru inspection, and i used it in a 65 mustang that had a loud exhaust, it workd real good

Why is Germany so strict on noise? They don't even test for that in my state.

It's Not the really the Noise, (even though they protect their natural resources at all costs because they are such a small country...)
It's that they adhere to safety!!! If it's not OEM = It's WRONG!!! They really kill the aftermarket Industry...
