yeah, 8.99 on pipe pc tune mr12 lowered and gearing, fuck!!!
-
very nice, indeed
-
They did the same thing with the Gen-II 1340cc BUSA.
Don't get me wrong, the bike runs GREAT but based on 1441cc BUSA's, I'm really not that impressed just yet...
-
Pats gen 2 1441 is running mid 8's. Keep dreaming kawi lovers
-
rickey just ran 5.85 at 126 in the 1/8 8.99 at 156 in the 1/4 on a stock 2012 zx14r with 11 mile on it
-
At a density altitude of NEGATIVE 2000 ft.

Stock means, stock height as delivered out of the crate.
His bike is slammed, regeared, and exhaust cansisters removed...so not stock....not to mention ATCO weather!
-
Still.....pats not a 115 lb jockey with a sponsor bike. nor is this his career. suzuki ftw!!! :tu:
-
so pats bike is at stock height stock exhaust stock head etc?
-
No. but its a 1441. same as the new kawi. And gadsons wasnt "bone stock" either from what I've heard.

I wonder what Rickey would be able to run on Turbusa II tuned to about 400 RWHP?. My point is that a stocker is just a starting point, not a finishing point. It is all a bunch of sales hype. Kawi prolly pays him a half a mil or so to do that.
It is all mouthwash. We all know a Turbo-Busa is THE bike. Period. Rickey has been bought. IMO.

Whatever the case it is a strong runner! Hats off to Kawasaki. Someone give me the month and day this was done. We can check the air conditions for the heck of it. As far as my bike. Not really a good comparison since im stretched. But id bet with mr12 I personally with -2000ft  might touch 8.40s .now put Ryan on it and I font care if I have to drag him to the strip this year, but id guess he'd go 8.20s
-
yeah, 8.99 on pipe pc tune mr12 lowered and gearing, fuck!!!
they usually run 0 weight oil and a non o ring race chain also....
-
Anyone have info on RG's bike?
He just went 8.70's with a slammed/stock exhaust 14R (not sure other mods)....
-
From Bikeland a week ago:
ZX14R, piped, stretched, stock motor, pump gas, rider a lil smaller than rickey
We gotta admit that Kawasaki ZX14R is the unequivocal new King of stock motored bikes.
Kudos to Kawasaki for setting the stock motor bar a couple big notches higher :thumb:
Do I want one? No fukken way.
I have 2 NA 1635 LSR Busas, and no NA "built to the hilt" Kawasaki is likely to touch either of them with the possible exception of Jim Gilnack's ZX14 monster motor.
Go-Jim-GO!!!!

yep, i have a street 1507 busa that runs on pump fuel that has got its measure comfortably and im no jockey either.does anyone know the air conditions and the total weight of the bike/rider that ran these times. To run sub 5 seconds from the 330-1320 is mighty impressive for an unopened motor though, thats comfortably quicker than mine as a 1441 ran around 5.01-5.03 best, stock length though, lets see one of these things run sub 5.0,s without being able to launch as hard and with stock or taller gearing not 16/43,heck my gearing is 18/41.
-
Karl I think that is 1300HemiBusa from down in Florida. He's still chasing the BUSA record of 8.42 but I think he should have no problem doing it...
There was another posted by Ricky recently with a stock pipe bike going 8.70's not sure the other mods...
Has anyone seen that?
-
His name is Lee, from Florida, uses handle "smokinZx14" on bikeland.
He rides the balls off his bikes

yeah, 8.99 on pipe pc tune mr12 lowered and gearing, fuck!!!
that aint shit they did 8.91 on a 08 busa 5 years ago and on pump gas.
That 14r dont make anymore power than a 1397 .
-
hmmmm.... zx14r 8.99 lowered, strapped, end cans removed and 2 teeth down. Thats all!!!!! The 8.91 from chip ellis on Chronic 5 years ago was an all brocked out Busa with shit loads more mods than Gadsons' 8.99. The vid is out there for all to see...... zx14 vs zx14 vs zx14r on youtube
-
c'mon guys, Kawi hires arguably the most sucessfull bike drag racing pilot ever.....and then beats everyone over the head with his numbers? Don't get me wrong from what I've read the new ZX14 is a mutherf***ing BEAST! Kawi has a great PR and corporate sales dept! Oh yeah and a great product!! Great products sell themselves add Ricky and Kawi's advertising $ and all of the word of mouth that you can't put a price on and you have a winning combo!! Just my opinion with a belly full of beer late at night
-
Ricky is also using our new ZX14 inner fender to get his bike really low. All his school Dragbikes use them as well. Gotta love it when a product helps you go quick ad fast. :D
