Title: Texas Mile Update
Post by: TrickTom1 on December 22, 2011, 06:11:44 PM

The Official Texas Mile

The Texas Mile staff strives to listen to our participants and fans for ideas that can further enhance the experience one has at an event. On December 6, Jay, Shannon, and Jessica visited with City officials at Chase Field. Currently, an idea that is being evaluated is widening the transitions and replacing the asphalt in those areas with concrete. What that means for the participants is the potential for improving speeds; as we know in motor sports, every second counts. Additionally, converting from asphalt to concrete in some of the transition areas can help reduce the gravely material associated with asphalt. We will continue to keep you updated on developments in this area.

Jessica has been working with our registration programmer who is developing a profile application to integrate into the registration application. Once a user has developed their profile with their vehicle information, then the participant only has to keep his/her profile updated and it will reduce the amount of information one has to enter for registration.

We wish all of our participants and fans a very Happy Holiday Season!
