Title: Installed valve spring heights Gen-II vs B-King
Post by: Chipwizard on December 30, 2011, 11:17:19 AM
Does anyone know if the installed valve spring heights are the same between the two engines?

The reason I ask is because an engine builder told me that the B-King heads break through in a certain place when they ran them through the usual CNC porting program that they Use on Gen-II 'Busa heads.

The place I thought this most likely to happen would be the spring seats (when taking the 'bumps' off the intake port roof). Since the B-King is less rev-happy with it's restricted intakes etc, maybe Suzuki put less installed tension on the springs I wondered........? Should I be starting with a Gen-II casting when doing a head, rather than the B-King I already have?

Any thoughts guys?

Thanks in advance.
