I thought i would go ahead and share my project... I finally got my bike back from the shop after 4yrs and yes i said 4yrs! They completed re-building the motor but re-assembly and a few other things were never completed. So i went a picked the bike up unfinished. I am building this bike for LSR and have a goal to have it ready by oct. So What i'm building is a 06 GSXR 750, GT2554R Turbo, Water/Air Intercooler, Built motor with 9.5:1 compression, 08 Gsxr 750 harness, GSXR 1000 ECU, Woolich Programmer, AMS-1000, NLR SIM.

Nice build! wish my turbo 750 had all that lol. Do you have the long build thread on gixxer.com?

What kind of pistons? I want to do Carillo rods and some forged 12.5:1 pistons since I'm on e85.

If your keeping the same compression there is no point to buying pistons. Cermaic coat them.
I like the bike but you already know that. Title is funny.

I would agree with gsx-rboy750 on Ceramic coating the pistons.
gsx-rboy750 - Lol You know i didn't even realize that your R6 post was named the same thing until after i posted it.... I thought about changing it but i was like oh well! :D
Oh and thanks for dealing with all the questions i have had for ya gsx-rboy750!

No i think it was funny because i named that post after "just another turbo busa build". His project was definetly not just another build neither was the R6 and neither is your gsxr750

:tu: :tu: :tu:
cant wait to see the finished product!
-
Ya I can't wait either! Right now im trying to get the NLR sim working. The installation is pretty straight forward so im not sure what the issue is. I'm wondering now if I have a bad sim now. Hopefully I get some time tonight or tomorrow to troubleshoot more.
-
Good news finally got the NLR SIM to work! 2 outputs for cylinder 1 and 2 where swapped on the SIM. So its was actually brown in - green out and green in - brown out. As soon as i swapped the bike started correctly...So Now maybe i can get this thing finished!
-
Do you have a wiring diagram for the SIM? Working on one here and having trouble.
-
Impressive work though.
