I know you can bore and stroke the original Zx14 out to around 1500cc but does anybody know how big you can go with the newer model ??

I know of two zx14s, one old one new, they are both in the neighborhood of 1550, not sure exactly. Iam sure both were made as big as was thought safe.

The biggest we do on gen 1 zx14's is a 3x5 1570cc with stock length rods not the shorter rods.   The rod ratio/angle starts to get out of wack if you go 6mm or 7mm and the gains diminish.
Going with the shorter rods makes the problem even worse. So we never do short rod zx14 stroker motors. There too rough on skirts.
You cant raise the deck height and put a longer rod in like you can on a Busa.

The gen 2's (2012 and newer) we have done 3x3 and 3x4 making 1617cc and 1634cc.  Kawasaki was nice enough to raise the deck in 2012 along with an added 4mm of stock stroke. So adding another 4mm of stroke to the gen 2 crank allows a safe 69mm crank with a stock length rod where the rod angle isn't scary.

Those are BIG motors.  Can they live on the street?
