Post by: E-RACER on October 24, 2013, 06:02:35 PM
Bought prob 12 sets or more of soupys links and still have them on two of my gsxrs..i put a set on a buddies bike making sure both had even load on them..he was going down highway heard a sound and one of them snapped!!

I emailed soupy and at first he said he didn't believe one broke.i sent him pics and never heard back from him!!!.i also posted on my facebook and others have posted pics of there that broke or bent as well..i only asked for one replacement link but now hes not answering my emails!!..i even emailed him on eBay which he sells alot of links on..i remember him as most people from on here and thought he was a stand up guy!!!

And after my SB arm breaking dont have alot tolerance for people who sell stuff that breaks and at least dont want make good on it..didnt want bash him but him not answering left me no choice!!!

I have pics but they wont let me upload i have put on photobucket then ill lost here

No idea how this could happen, the links have a 12,000+ radial static load and theres 2 of them so thats 24,000+!!  I'm assuming the links were unequally adjusted after installation but regardless, we will send a replacement.  Email reply sent, E.

Post a picture of teh suspension geometry at the pivot.
My guess is the suspension adjustments are causing the pivot ito go over-center or nearly over center.

That what it sounds like to me. It like a 3/8 bolt sound like a failure caused by shearing.
