Title: 2014

Whats the winter bringing? Goals ? New setup? Who's going to be the the next over 250?

My goal is to make it to an event where the wind isn't blowing 20mph from the side or it is not raining. In fact may be happy if it is only one or the other, not both at the same time.

Mike Garcia will be over 250 next year at Mojave and if the weather cooperates, Oz booster will do that plus some on the salt, IMHO.  :thumb:

Yep 270 would be nice
we are going to concentrate more on the aero package on 2 salt bikes and keep pushing more hp at Jims naked  bikes  ,
Every year is different and the salt may throw a curve ball

Getting Jim his AA licence is pretty high in the priority's too

Mike and the Sims crew will be right up there too, he has taken to the turbo bike like a duck to water

I want to hit 220mph so i can move on to a bigger number. I screwed myself in 2013 and wont do that again.
I want to improve areodynamics, finish my air to water and work up the funds to build the motor for big boost.

Oh and Don Hass is going to hit 250 on 1000 this year in the mile.

Every time I ride my bike I find things I need to change so hopfully get my ass futher back and lower down on my Salt bike.

Also do some cutting and get my legs in a position where I can lay on the Pletum and be able to breath. lol

I changed the clutch so less bogging and slipping the clutch off the start line I hope.

Also got a Microtech dash so I have a few more thing to watch and intertain myself while trying to go 250

I'll bring two bikes so it the wind is up or things are slippery I can still feel comfortable riding something rather then watch cars spin out from the pits.

My 750 is running good so that will be my all weather bike, at least get some seat time on the courses

Good luck, Johnny. A hip replacement is in my future, dang it. Will put it off as long as possible.

Yup, 250 and AA license!!!  Greg got the secondary injectors set up on the750 naked bike and a gear based boost controller is going on now to tame it in lower gears.
And the turbo 600 is almost up and running, may have to take a pass before selling it.
And a few runs without rain and wind would be good-----

I always take a different twist on things!
My hope for 2014 is to remain cancer free, employed, and insured.
My hope is to surround myself with totally excellent friends, smile, drink beer, smoke herb, laugh my ass off as often as possible.
It's a bonus to run my bike as fast as it can freakn go as long as I can hold it WFO.    :D

I wish I would have discovered Bonneville (Land Speed racing), and the people involved with the sport that now consumes me and defines me, 30 years ago!

Yea, I know, kinda deep, and TMI, but WTF, just hit the post button.

My turbo 12 is scheduled to make its debut at Loring next summer for shake down runs. The goal is 250 in the 1.5 by the fall event.

The red street 12 will be back, maybe on spray by the fall event. we would love to see a 230 out of it(on the gas).

and the Hulk is going to try and bump the na Kawi record higher. with any luck there wont be a headwind like last time  :tu:

Glad to see Dave keeping it real and sending you prayers bud!

I've lost 5-people in my life this year and my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer last week.  She starts chemo on Dec 5th so appreciate any prayers!

Racing and riding sure helps clear the mind... :thumb:

That's what I heard but was hoping for exact dates so I can get vacation put in NOW... :D

Also, unless they change things up...the middle event was suppose to run in conjunction with the Aero's and Auto's event but that's been the 1/2-mile race in the past.  I don't know if they are continuing that or what?

Have wind tunnel time reserved for mid January for the BMF.  Yep, a naked bike in the tunnel.  Laying ground work for a serious effort towards a AA license.  Naked!
