Polaris Slingshot. The information was released today. What you all think?
I waiting for a test drive to come to a local dealer.

its a three wheeled go cart, and im sure ur gonna have to give up ur first born to own one
-
:hys: I was wondering too, 25k (not to bad).
I want one. Don't wanna get hit in one. Looks like an awesome ride. I'm on the fence. Slingshot or Challenger.

I wonder what the big differences are between it and the T-Rex?

2014 Campagna T-Rex 16S Review: http://youtu.be/Sy7bEzD06GA
They are similar in many ways. I guess the 1st notibily differences is engine placement, engine size and price. I wouldn't consider buying one at 60k, while 25k is more reasonable. I wonder if you can tell the difference in overall quality. Someone needs to compare them.

I'm going rounds with a friend at a local dealer. I don't think they are legal in Wisconsin. Not that dealers won't tell people they are, and I'm sure Polaris lawyers are interpreting the law in their favor, but as soon as the State Patrol sees one of these things I think there will be problems.
As per my State Farm Agent... "at this time Underwriting says they will not insure the Slingshot...... Maybe in a few years when they have some statistics on it."
Looks like a fun toy, but I don't think it will clear your average speed bump.
-
It's gotta just shred the rear tire right? Having to handle two fronts in the twisties must put a real strain on the rear tread. I'd certainly prefer two in front vs two in the rear but trikes seem to have all disadvantages of both cars and motorcycles.

I went to sign up for the "Online Price" and a information box poped up. It stated the Polaris is working on getting the Slingshot legal (to sell) in Maryland. I didn't think about calling for an insurance quote.
It seems some if not alot of the R&D was done with the Can-Am Spyder.

I think they sold them over here once?

It's a 3 wheeled Cavalier! Gee I wonder if they will get the recalls done from using Gm stuff?
I'm disappointed that Polaris is using Gm anything, they are good for job security! I won't be buying a Polaris with a Gm power plant anytime soon. I fix everyone else's stuff, don't need to fix mine!

Wonder if you could swap out a solstice turbo engine instead... 260 hp, up to 300 hp with bolt ons & tune. THAT would be interesting!
