I've always been interested in these and how they work.  So do you set it up like a boost controller and set the pressure you want based on time, speed, pressure, etc?

I think you misunderstood. The bike currently has a MTC slider clutch.I am fabricating a mechanism to manually engage it to ride it back from the finish line.

I am very interested in your project. I have been thinking about the same thing on my busa chassis bike. Not easy finding reliable help to tow back. Self start 7.50s and ride it back.  :thumb: :D

Getting closer.Got it all together tonight.Only problem is it pushes too hard.Flexing the cover.Either going to regulate the air pressure or shorten the pusher.

Great idea. Interested also, as it would make running a slider some much more desirable. Leigh

Did you get a chance to try it out? If so what were the results?

Been to three bracket races with it and it works great. The only problem I could foresee is it uses more air than some bikes have capacity.Mine has a 2.5lb CO2 bottle so that's not an issue. Its great. If anybody wants pictures just PM me a email or phone number to text.

I just wanted to say thank you Michael for your idea, photos and link to the air cylinder. I now have this set up on my 7.5 second ,self starting, 1 2 3 auto Busa! I have tested it at my shop and it works great! I will be using it for the first time this coming weekend at the North West Dragbike event at Woodburn Dragstrip in Oregon! Thanks again.  :thumb:
