Hey HOS, my buddy got his place in Wales.  A few acres in the country.  Likes it fine now that he got rid of the bats!  He'd been in Cambridge for years and now is retired, sort of.  Funny how things work out.  We had found a place he wanted in northern Idaho and just missed getting it.  Next thing I know he found a place in Wales.

I can understand wanting to move out of Cambs.
But Wales instead of Idaho?  :?

I love Wales myself, the Snowdonia national park in particular.
My old Dad retired to Harlech for his final years.
If you're a biker, you know Wales.
Which bit has he gone to?
Property is fairly cheap compared to England, because there is little work there.
I was looking at houses in Ffestiniog for £35,000 when the average house price in England is £150,000

Found five acres in Carmarthenshire, nearest town is St Clears.  Having a conservatory added to the home in January for more 'sun' and room.

No. If you want sun you don't go to Wales !  :D Its wetter than England.
Mind you the west coast and south west coast does have the benefit of the Atlantic gulf stream.
Pendine sands rings a bell down there.
Its very popular with bikers.

I never thought it would get traction.  I was apparently under a misconception.

Obviously, I stand corrected.  Would you ride it Jeff?  I would not.  Too hard on yer neck craining to see what is in front of you.  I ain't got the balls or the neck for that.  I would likely hit the friggin' wall at 120 or so and compress my vertebrae into a single round ball of bone and disc material.  I would survive in the circus as "the living man with no back, i.e., the 2 ft round ball-man."  50 cents a view.  75 cents, if ya talk to him.  Ouch.

All the Jade stuff is from 30 years ago.  Bikes have progressed a tad since then.  Will this Jade be faster/quicker than the old Jade, or are we goin' "Back To The Future" in 1985 again?

Davey - And quit callin' me old - I will pee on yer grave, ya young whipper-snapper.  :hys:  Mom lived to 89, dad to 87.  I got 20+ good years to go.  :)
