Well Tuesday is the last Uk meeting for this year and we should be on track at Elvington but......The remains of your recent Hurricane Gonzalo or whatever his name is might be arriving on our shores in about three hours.
The forecast is 6 hours rain and high winds followed by higher winds during the day.
I suppose the only good thing might be that it will mostly be a tailwind.
If anybody gets to run a report will follow  8)

Good luck all :tu:

Well the forecast was pretty accurate and it was very wet then very windy starting around 20mph and gusting to nearly double that later so a few bikes stayed in the trailers.
Jack Frost sneaked a 230 mph run in a quieter spell and Les Marsh managed a 220 mph run but once the wind started to veer slightly to the North it was very difficult to guide a bike straight at sub 200 mph speeds let alone any serious speed.
That's the end of our year which has been a good one with some excellent runs especially our new world record holder Becci and most people went home happy except poor Jack who had his ferry back to Ireland cancelled due to the weather.

Crappy weather and 230? Mad respect :tu:

My best run Ken was a 225 but it was a bit hairy out there!
Thanks for sharing with everybody though, Cheers.

I did not get a copy of the times Les because I knew they were well down on normal,You did well to go over 200 given the conditions.
-
Cheers Ken, see you next year.

Congrats all. Sorry to hear that the bad weather came in. Time to start getting them ready for next year.
