What's up fellas?I saw a pro rider run 5.74@131mph last sunday at a local track.He rides the bike for a guy that is learning to race.The bike owner swears that the only mod are extensive headwork,big cams,bde exhaust,dymags ,0-6 arm,airshifter,modded seat,pc-2,ram air scoops,arm sitting on 63inches,and pulling 1.45 to 1.50 60ft's.No dry nos.What's your thoughts and comments.Seen anything similar?  (http://images/smiles/converted/moped.gif)    (http://images/smiles/converted/moped.gif)

i would have to go out on a limb and say yes its possible on a perfect pass. did he back it up?

Thats a HELL of a motor for not having nitrous.
Must have some major compression on a "stock bore". Definitely possible by a good rider though.

Don;t ask me-I've never seen a bike like that go below 6 in the 1/8.

no it cannot be done. he needs to go to a different track or fess up. 131 in the 8th not gonna happen.Cooper only weighs 100lbs  and he only goes around 131 and believe me he rides the hell out of that bike.1.45 60 fts that is not a pro rider either not at 63 inches.that bike has prob a stroker or 1429. I dont think a 1397 or 1363  not properly tuned will do that.   (http://images/smiles/converted/no.gif)

Well i'm not sure, but i did a 1.44 60ft and 5.792 1/8 at 123.65Mph with 35 shots of nos and stock exhaust & stock motor did a 8.98 in that run  (http://images/smiles/converted/moped.gif)

the 5.74 is possible, but at 131mph, I dont know unless he only weighs  50 lbs, I ran the no.s , and if total weight is 650lbs  (500lbs bike-150lbs  rider) and he makes 190rwhp he can run the 5.74, but to get the 131mph he needs 230 rwhp. If he is running a 5.74 with 230 rwhp , he shur aint no pro. should be 5.30's This program runs pretty well right on , if you enter the right info. Give more details, weight, ect, and I'll run it again.  (http://images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

The ET  is possible at a much better 60ft, however the MPH is a different story. 131 shows HORSEPOWER, and a stock engine with the best head on the planet is not even gonne be close, either the clocks are wrong or the guy is not telling you everything.  (http://images/smiles/icon_wink.gif)

DODOBIRD are refering to the MOROSO chart??i think you are talking about slick and bars??i seen KENT run 5.20 but he has a little more than 230hp and has a longer bike,5.30's is getting out of there in a hurry at only 131mph,don't you think??5.74 at 131 with a 6 over arm should be done with a 1425 and a real good one if you ask me.  (http://images/smiles/icon_confused.gif)

The rider that I was refering to is in the range of 195-210lbs in leathers.Very good rider and has a watercooled turbo that I've seen go 5.45@145 in the 1/8 mile.

I have a watercooled gsxr and i run 5.20 @ 130s with no spray.His mph is outrageous for that et.I weigh 220.

No not the moroso  chart, Its a program on the comp. I was assuming with the 1.45 60's he running a slick or super light, and guessing at the weight. His info dont add up,  you have to make gobs of power for that mph if you running 5.70 at 131 , because it means your not pulling on the first 100ft. you should be able to get lower ets with that kind of hp. like I said and powerbygann said, 5.20's or 30's with that kind of power, or lower mph with the 5.70's ET, and less hp ,the mph should be a lot lower. The 5.70 ET is possible on a lot less hp than the 131mph .
