Can you swap out the stock allen bolts on the header pipes for studs and nuts?
Thinking it will save wear and tear on the threads in the head.
Thank you.
-
Don't see why not. alot of bikes come that way--- your Harleys for example-----
-
One of my concerns was that there is not enough room between the nut and pipe to be able to put a socket on.
Looks tight.

You should try doing a turbo Mike ,
-
Maybe Santa Scott will drop one under the ol' yule tree this year.
Merry Christmas Greg!!

never know your luck :D

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Racers !

Greg is referring to the ease with which we can get to the bolts on our turbo headers--- NOT!!!!!!!!! Was just putting header back on the 750 and swearing at Greg the whole time--took over an hour!! (He designed to header).

If your header allows stud and nuts would be a bunch better set up, but as far as ease of installation, studs and nuts or bolts, or hex or allen bolts, they are both a pain in the ass, ether way its best to disconnect the radiator for clearence

Studs didn't work for me.

shave the stock header bolt down for the inner bolt holes. Its easier to put the header on with the motor on the bench.
