On a stock Gen II, pulling and CNC porting the head with different cams would, I assume, offer additional benefits when properly mapped on a dyno.

What about simultaneously milling .020 thousanths or 1/2mm from the head to bump up compression and run hi-test at the pump? 

Is there enuf meat on the head to do that?  Any possible valve to piston issues with that?

If .020 were removed from the head, with the stock bore and pistons, how much would compression be bumped?  1/2 point to 13 to one? 

You math guys know and you engine guys know how much can be safely removed without issues.

Normally about .012 is removed from the head. Need to check all kinds of clearances when you start trying new combos of heads, cams, valve sizes, etc.

You can also run a thinner head gasket and/or a thinner or no base gasket.

                                       I knew the most important part of anything like this will be clearances, valve to piston, valve to valve, etc. But, if ya could successfully shave a bit off the head, put some reasonable cams in it, and CNC port the friggin' thing, you could be makin' over 200 with a stock bore bike...........maybe even 205 on a cool dry day.  On 93 pump, all stock internals.  (Cams and heads do not count)  :lol:
