Sorry for being a zx14r guy on your forum but I met a few of you at Wilmington in May. Question is what tires you are running to meet the "race" tire requirement.
Thanks in advance.

Have you read this thread? http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/index.php?topic=163961.0 (http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/index.php?topic=163961.0)

I actually had read that thread, it appears that I might not be the only one trying to figure it out.

When in doubt, contact the organizer or their tech site to get the correct answer for that organization. Some will allow tires that don't meet the requirements for the record but will put a speed limit on the bike.

I can speak only of the ECTA. I believe that any speeds above 175 require a ZR speed rating, metal valve stems, and the signing of a tire waiver form.

I run Bridgestone BT 003rs at Bonneville and on pavement.

Welcome toledoupsguy!
I talked to you in line a couple times about your 14 but you were still doing license passes. I didn't get time to come back and chat once I had a few issues with mine. How did it go for you?
-
Licensing passes went great and I had a ball, but Sundays runs weren't so good. Didnt know I was going to have such problems shifting. Between new boots and new quick shifter I couldn't make a clean pass to save my life. Now waiting on a yea or nea from Keith to see if i can run one more time on my stock tires.
What issues were you having?

You should be able to run on stock tires or at least you could in the past. Either will require a tire waiver but maybe they've changed something.
My air shifter wouldn't work, boost controller wouldn't hold desired psi and transmission issues. Thinking about my plan for next year... :D
