Title: Crank ID Help

Hello,

 I am a novice on this issue and searched the site for other post but found none.

 The crank on the left side is out of my 03 Busa. The one on the right is from an unknown year Busa. The cranks appear to be the same except for numbers and the drilled out holes on the top and bottom edges on the crank on the right. The numbers stamped on my 03 are L2222R, BBBBB, 24F, V, 2. The number on the unknown crank is L2222R, AABBB, 24F, K, 6 or could be a 9. If this crank is for a Gen 1 busa, what is the purpose of the drilled holes vs my 03 crank? Anyway to ID the year model busa the crank on the right came out of? What do the numbers stamped on the crank signify?

The holes are for balance. The 2222 numbers are notations of rod journal diameters. The ABA... are main bearing journal diameters

Just to clarify for you what the guys told me.

Those stamped numbers, and letters "should" correlate to the repair manual charts on bearing selection.  In perfect "factory new" condition they would.  You can use the marks for reference values, but measure everything out and go by your "measured" diameters in selecting the bearings that will give you the best end result.
