DME engine guru Skip Gladstone assembling a new Pro Street engine. Photo shows APE Billet crankshaft with Carrillo rods, APE main bearing studs, and our new countershaft stud. Now you know what is in the bottom of those bad DME Pro Street engines.

What has to be done to the cases to install this crank? Do you need to have clearances for the stroke or can it be installed with rods and go?
-
I believe most pro street bike use stock stroke billet cranks.Mine has a 5mm billet stroker with stock rods.I did a little grinding but it was minor.
-
Our 68 mm ( 5 mm ) should drop right in with rods installed. Many guys that buy these cranks and Carrillos, opt to have us install the rods, so it is drop in ready. These 68s are on the shelf for immediate shipping.

I don't think anyone knew what was in them...

FYI
DME let Skip go???
don't understand that!
and at last race DME looked bad and Joey did not even qualify for race for 10K UGH
-
Rumour is,Joeys motors were getting preferential treatment
-
Probably to much stress, I builder can only build so many without getting burned out. SKIP said he can grow hair now. All good things come to an end eventually.
-
From what I was told DME was upset that Joey was running NHRA, and that caused the problems
Joey and his dad are looking to open there own engine building program in DE
-
So, are they gonna let Joey go too. I heard vance and hines were building their motors for the last year now.
