Anyone used one of these setups. First time I have ever seen one.
-
i use it on a couple of bikes with copper gasket and reciever groove head ,
o ring fitment in block varys depending on intended use ,
in my application it sits quite proud so it can displace the copper into the reciever groove,
but they also can be fitted to use with copper and no reciever or to compliment a std type gasket

Thanks so much...I got this with a turbo bike with an ultra kit. It has 1/2" bolts in it now. I guess if it was on 10mm studs and a stock gasket it would help. THe ring barely protrudes above the deck. I done a little research this afternoon and a lot of the old air-cooled engines seal really well with these.

:tu: i think you can be very confidant with that combo

I ran that setup for years in my Chevy powered alcohol Dragster block o-rings both with and without recever grooves, never did see a benifit ether way, but I ran a filled block and no water so coolant seal was no issue, on a Busa a couple of good coats of copper spray should get it done, or you can use silicone, I'v used both and ether works fine
