I want to put extensions on the swingarm of an '08 Busa...Does the rear brake caliper need a bar to hold it in place???

The 2008-2017 Hayabusa does not require a brake bar. The 99-07 do have a brake bar. Your extensions should utilize your stock brake caliper hanger and hold it in place. Different manufactures use different methods but you will not need a brake bar.
