Building 1441 and one of my piston squish mesurement comes out @ .039. (Used 2 pieces of solder and averaged them ). Would this be to tight???
-
No
I use 0.8mm (032) on my 1441 with stock rods.
-
Thank you I’m a tad paraanoid
-
But the better question would be what is your PTV clearance?
-
Thanx for the heads up, next measurement, built it last time tight but had issues (wasn’t nice on street). Only race once or twice a year so trying to make it nicer for street.. found out what all race motor ment!

What kind of rpm are you turning with .8mm?

One time i used 0.7mm with stock rods, i had Wiseco pistons, part number printed on top of piston,
when taking the engine apart later, i could read the number from the head, backwards
