Just learning to post pictures, so thought i'd put this up here. (for practice) First picture is my dog Arkko. Who is from Little Adolfe( 99' #2 rott in the country, show). Second picture is part of his family. On the left is his Mom, the middle dog( Chunky) is his brother from the first litter.(Arkko is male pick from second litter)Chunky at the age of 1 1/2 was invited to the Westminster dog show, which only the top 10 dogs(5 male ,5 female)in the country(points wise)get invited. I know some people like dogs out there so ......... (http://images.snapfish.com/3396935923232%7Ffp54%3Dot%3E232%3B%3D777%3D73%3A%3DXROQDF%3E23234935889%3C7ot1lsi)

pat , you show your rotty ? diesel's first trainer shows rotts also .
we're going through show and confirmation classes now . hoping to earn his championship in a couple years . theres a big show at the state fairgrounds feb. 7/8 . i was going to enter him but i dont think either of us are ready (he's my first try at showing) .
your rotty looks incredible !
this was diesel at about 9 or 10 months... he's starting to fill out a bit now

we showed him a couple times. First time was in louisville and he won his class both fri and sat. Second time was in Indy at the fairgrounds and he wouldn't let the judge touch him( not cool) needless to say,I don't even think we got last place. (http://images/smiles/converted/joker.gif) It was O.K to go to these shows, we went to about 6-7. But my wife didn't seem to interested so we let it go. The lady in the far right(Kara) showed him for us. Said he is identical to Chunky and if i were to give to a certain handler down in florida, he could finish him within a couple months but he'd have to stay down there of course for that period. (http://images/smiles/converted/no.gif) Its alot of work to get or have them trained. I really don't feel like putting the time in.
Your dogs looking good. His dad is a thick one isn't he?? (http://images/smiles/icon_eek.gif) We have a show here 2 times a year. if you feel like doing that one let me know and I'll find out when it is.

My current carrier doesn't allow "vicious dogs" (my agent's words) like Rotts, GSDs, PBTs, etc... Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! (http://images/smiles/converted/bigfu.gif) to Farm Bureau!

Heres a pic of me & my dogs taken back in August. For those of you who own what I like to call a "Performance Breed" - Rott.,GSD,Dobe, A.P.B.T., etc.. and have trouble getting insurance, check with either AAA, or State Farm.
I had been denied insurance from 5 other companies before getting AAA, because I own "Pit Bulls". AAA's only question was had my dogs ever bit anyone requiring a claim to which I said NO.
The reason that I switched to State Farm was when I bought the 'Busa, AAA would'nt insure it because "it was a liability to insure that crotch rocket".... go figure? and State Farm would insure all of my things & I'd even get a discount for multiple accounts, etc.. making the insurance on the 'Busa even cheaper.
Chance, nice looking Red Rednosed Pit Bull you got there. Do you show him, weight pull, etc. I'm the President of the Michigan APBT Club and weight pull the 2 I got now. Good luck with him.

Jimi- I love those dogs! That will more than likely be my next. How old was yours in the last picture and what about did he weigh then? I go to dog shows and watch that class and the rotts(obviously) (http://images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) . Most bull are taller but the last show i went to there was a one that was shorter than the rest but smoked evrything muscle wise. The thing was unreal, most likely on steroids. (http://images/smiles/converted/yes.gif) Took some video of it, just wish i could figure out how to freeze a frame and put it on here. you would love it. (http://images/smiles/converted/yes.gif)

Nice muttz!
My 10 year old American Bulldog died last year, I have owned Presas, Rotts, American Bulldogs, and Pitbulls.
My next pup is gonna be a Japanese Tosa, and he should arrive later this year.

Great dog pics! Love all, but especially the Rott pics. Had 2 (Jordan -M, Starr - F) that I got rid of before deploying 2 years ago. Need to get more, but won't do it until I leave this man's army!

This is "Tommy". Half border collie and half Boston Terrier. 45Lbs and 5 years old. He wasn't supposed to get over 20 lbs.

scanner down right now but pics soon up.
i have a rottie/pit named kahlua, 1yr=96 lbs (80% rott / 20% pit)
and recently purchased a brindle pit, i named jager. tiny, tiny puppy but will be huge... dad is a 175 lb fight dog, and mommy was a 135 lbs. i was wondering how much it is to get a pit's ears clipped and set. (spiked)
cant have a big ol' brindle, with those goofy loppy ears!
please respond anybody. thanks
-
I know for sure that it is not any pits that are over 135 lbs, I know of couple that said there are 130 + but actually like 100#. Even the ones at 130+ could not do anything as far as fighting. The smaller the better in a pit set-up. I personally have two XXL pits, pure blooded pits at that. That are going to be around 105-110#'s, male and a female that will be around 85#'s. And those are consider very large pits from the Biggest and strongest Bloodlines out there Eddington and Dagger!!

actually i believe that w/ the right nutrition, and dog can get as big as possible. b/c their is a guy at my work, who has a rott/ sheperd mix that is ringinin at 212. yes it is overweight, but my pit's dad reminds me of the "sandlot" dog. so......

NO way! If that dog is that big it can't possibly move. I can just about gaurantee thats a huge lie on the weight. It's funny how some people like to make up fictisious numbers on their dogs weight. Met someone last year that had a rott pup, he told me the dad was 220#s and the mom was 190.   I've been to many dog shows and seen the best of the best. The biggest i ever saw was 145#s and that was a freakin monster rott. Proper nutrition will only get the dog as big as their genetics will allow. Rotts or sheperds don't have the genetics to see anywhere near 200#s. I've seen a 200 pound mastiff and thats humungus( is that a word  )!

I dont have a dog :(

My friend found a wandering stray Rott while on vacation at a Park last year. Severely underweight, sores, and a bad hip. He said the dog used to sit on the lawn, and as her hip weakend she would slowly topple over haha.
Well they got her up to just a couple pounds from perfect, sores are gone, ear infections healed, and they are working her rear legs, he told me that leg is no longer a problem.
This Rott is a lot of fun. Wants to show you everything. This is my ball. This is my squeaky toy. Here. Look. LOOK! If you sit in a chair on the edge, she will sit on the floor between your legs, facing out, so she can see what's going on while you pet her. If you stop for 2 seconds she looks over her shoulder at you 'what's up?'
Very playful. Lays on her back with her rear legs in the air, front legs holding her squeak toy.....my buddy said for an hour straight he'll hear quack quack.....quack quack...quack quack......
Just a really happy go lucky dog, far cry from the stray they found, weak and hungry.
I'm torn between a Rott or Dobie when I buy a house. My other friend's Dobie was a great dog too.
