Title: Replacing a seal. Need Help
Post by: on March 30, 2003, 08:27:00 PM
Can anyone tell me the best way to replace the clutch pushrod seal? Can it be done without splitting the cases?   (http://images/smiles/icon_confused.gif)

it can be done with out  splitting the cases. But i would not do it to my bike>you have to grind the ceases a little pull out the seal and replace with a new one and then goop a bunch of silicon on there

There was someone a while back from, I believe, Arizona who had a neat little deal you used to keep all the crud out of the clutch slave cylinder.  I'd think you could possibly use one of those and put a seal under it - over the original one.  Someone may remember who it was that had them.

The bottle cap will work for keeping the crud out but I don't think it will work very well as a seal.
