Don't know if you answered a question asked yesterday as I can't remember what topic it was in.  Can you order a bike from Suzuki and have it drop shipped somewhere else or does it have to go to your dealership???

No, it is a huge infraction to sell a "crate bike"! If Suzuki finds out you sold a "bike in the crate" you are done for as a dealer!
You must set it up, and complete a set-up sheet, and go thru all the steps, such as test driving, so that it doesn't have a malfunction, or something comes loose that would put someone in danger in any way!
I have heard of dealers who sell crate bikes, that have not gone thru this set-up, all I can say is don't get caught, you are liable for injuries!
One horror story that I have heard from an old dealer, is that he had two over the years, that cause a crash after set-up.
One was a caliper that totally locked up the brakes, when gently applied, and the other one was the tranny locked up when shifted into third!
I have been the test pilot for almost all the bikes here, and the brakes are non-existant at first usually, and trannys tend to be stiff!
Otherwise I haven't crashed any new ones so far, but I did crash one customer bike, that the throttle stuck on, DAMN YAMAHA VIRAGO!
Yeah, I got my assed kicked by a fricken Virago!
Damn thing didn't have a throttle return cable, so when I opened her up in first gear, it stayed that way, and I almost went thru a busy intersection! OUCH!
But to answer your question Steve, no you can't drop ship one, sorry !  (http://images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif)
