do you think i can get a 1498cc 13.5/1 kz based motor to self start using a honda cb1100f starter and a FBG battery?
i will be using a schnitz box so i can pull alot of timing out for starting??????
building another ghetto bike, but its hard to get any serious bets if it wont self start??

I have a 1550cc 13,5-1 Hayabusa and mine start on 12V ( although a BIG battery ).
U got to give it a handful of throttle but it starts EVERY time.
I have only had a few kick backs.
I run the TTS starter gear and I have moved the starter so even more theets are engaging.

can you say "GHETTO PROMOD"... (http://images/smiles/converted/lmao.gif)
do you have any more of those starters dennis and do you think they are better than the honda 1100 starters?
also...you think a FBG battery is big enough?

I don't think this is intended for the street. At least not with the slider! What year gpz are you talkin about 83-84? I'm startin my 1428cc 14:1 with a cb1100 starter ,fbg batt, and 8 degrees of adv. starts like a stocker. probably has a lot to do with the bigger cams and not as much cranking comp.
BTW got any of those gsxr/kz stems around. Who made it MacIntosh? (http://images/smiles/converted/beerchug.gif)
