I've been outrunning stock-motored '12s set up just like his (and run by guys with MUCH more riding experience than he's likely to ever live to get) since just about the time he got his driver's license. The kid is a fucking liar IMO. Can't prove it yet, but gnd111 is about to. :twisted:

RON- I don't have a 1270....and yes I'm making 177rwhp/98rwt SAE without the stacks installed yet....STOCK UNTOUCHED MOTOR...Hell, the bike should pull 180rwhp if I added timing, I'm currently running stock timing! With the stacks and some timing, I'm looking at low 180's...stock untouched motor. Maybe a little cam degreeing could bring me up to 185rwhp? All this without having to sacrifice the ram air efficiency by modifying the airbox like all you Busa guys do. That airbox mod hurts air velocity at high speed hence not allowing the airbox to pressurize and generate power.
I'll be MORE than happy to let any one of your emgo buddies inspect my motor. Take apart the head, measure the pistons, do your worst...you won't find anything touched!! NOT EVEN CAM DEGREEING HAS BEEN DONE!
There will be NO bottle on the bike when we do these runs...you can tear apart all the plastics if you'd like....check my pockets if you'll feel better. LOL!

You say nobody around "here" without spray will run you....well, you live out there in Yeehaw Alabama, I don't expect there to be much competition...Come down and meet some south florida boys...we run the 9/10ths EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY FOR HOURS AT A TIME!!!! We've got guys using LM1 realtime A/F dataloggers and tuning with lap tops on the fly....a handful of Turbo Busa's and 1k's....another handful of built motor Busa's and 1000's.....Nitrous 12's....piped 12's and Busa's...hell we had a 525rwhp Velocity Turbo ZX12R out there last week......About 25 worked bikes in total every sunday testing and tuning and racing week after week after week.......Believe me, you don't find this level of competition in the stix of AL. Hell, I once thought my bike was tuned up well....took it out there for some testing, BOY WAS I IN SHOCK! Went from running 174mph in the 9/10th's up to 190's....with the SAME MODS!!! Just tuning and practice...
So before you go spouting off at the mouth about how nobody will race you without spray....remember that a modified bike isn't fast...A PROPERLY TUNED modified bike is fast. I know guys with piped Busa's and a 60 shot that I've obliterated on my 12R...ON MOTOR!!!! You can have your bike tuned perfect on the dyno...that don't mean DICK in the real world. Pretty dyno #'s usually make for weak runners in real world conditions. Keep that in mind when you look at your dynosheets....I also hope you didn't do the airbox mod....if you did....YOU'RE DONE FOR IN THE 9/10th's.

Ok, you guys don't like me commenting on how unimpressive the new 05 GSX-R1000 is...well look at it his way, the only accomplishment it's done is MATCH the ZX-10R in power and weight, yet still doesn't have all the trick hardware that the Ninja carries. So forgive me along with the rest of the Kaw camp for not dropping our jaws....we've been seeing this type of performance since last year...

I see a post where someone is bluring reality, not telling the whole truth, giving credit and glory to the bike when it's the rider that deserved it, or neglecting to mention important details that might take away from the "wow" factor of their story.
Damn, you'd think that you'd want some sort of objective view on issues...not only to help prove or disprove your own view....but for sheer entertainment value. What worth is a view if nobody is allowed to challenge it? This is the reason for trials...to validate your convictions against someone. Without an objective argument, your view, belief, word is only as good as the person it's coming from....It's at this point where there are no checks and balances for the views that are indeed bullshit.

Actually, there are probably quite a few people (at least the ones who know what's going on) who know that the Busa and ZX-12 are so close that a rider will make the difference. In fact, many people have or do own BOTH bikes.
It's all become hair splitting! ... and something to cry and moan about ... including you an FK. How come you guys don't have the same perspective ... that they are so close that it's not worth arguing about?!?

Dude, where do you find the time to post all those words?? :D in Comparison to the rest of the world, the Busa has been top rung forever. Now the liter bikes have FINALLY caught up. This is not amazing news, it's simply progress. why the big deal? so you found a couple busa riders who brag. hmmmmm I find MOST cyclists like to brag. even the 600 guys. who cares? This is a H A Y A B U S A forum where owners can trade tips, info, mods etc and, sure, brag if we feel like it. why keep pressuring other bikes? we ride Hayabusa's. Why dont you simply come in join in the conversations like a civilized being? You seem to be technically knowlegable about a good number of.
When I bought my busa [my first suzuki, replaced my kaw] I sat on both busa and 12 side by side.
- I like MY fit on the busa better
- I PERSONALLY enjoyed the body style better
- I could get the busa cheaper
- I already had a Kawasaki
- Suzuki had many race wins = years of sucessful technology
Therefore, I went SUZ. The 12R was a fine bike and I'd admired it for years, and tehre is nothing wrong with that bike in MY eyes - just anohter bike. But being a busa owner doesn't negate common curtesy while I'm surfing zx-12r.org. And I certainly wouldn't tell them their PERSONAL PREFERENCE is wrong?
I haven't been in here for a while but coming back and seeing teim wasting pissing contests is disappointing. I, like many otheres here, am tired of starting to read a post and having it end up teh same "You'r bike isn't ALL THAT..." yet, it still is to me.
I voted you off the island too, but if you could tone down and join in instead of simply mud sling, I wish you'd stay and offer your wizdom.

Again, I agree with you Busa@11k. It is Hairsplitting....that's the only point I was making. I'm not sitting here yapping off about how superior the 12R is....in reality, IT ISN'T! My entire argument is that they are both just about equals. Busa gets it by an insignificant hair in a straight line via aero's and cc's stock vs stock...the Ninja gets it around a track via brakes and handling stock vs stock.
Both advantages are insignificant in the real world with amatuer riders. It comes down to which bike suits YOU best. That is the superior bike...
Nobody can universally say one is better than the other..they are too damn close in performance...they both trade this for that in every aspect of performance...it comes down to what you intend on using the bike for that makes the difference.
I'm not here trying to say the Busa sucks or that the Ninja is better, I'm trying to dispell the belief that the Busa is without equal and owns the 12R. That is just not so. I understand many if not most of you agree with me on this....to you I do not direct my posts towards. It's the ones that have that Hayabusa Hyped Ego that I'm addressing...the guys that think they are juggernauts of the road because guiness told them so or because sportrider declared it faster by 0.04seconds in the 1/4 mile.
FK and I share similar passion for our bikes and we are not bashful about sharing our experiences with them. I'm not as extreme as FK is (i'm not fond of cursing and such) but for some reason I'm the one in contention for bannishment? Is that because you can't prove me wrong and I make sense? Is it because I won't allow a debate to turn into a pissing match in order to let you escape the issue and use your infamous bullying methods?
WWJD- I try to be civilized, it's usually you guys that start the insults and namecalling and bashing...NOT ME! I go on and on about a piped 12r being faster than a piped busa just as much as I go on and on about how stock vs stock the busa is a hair faster.
This is more than I can say for most of you guys that ONLY talk about the stock to stock comparsion or the Turbo vs Turbo comparisons. I give the Busa it's credit when it's due....can most of you say the same about the 12R? I think not.

IMHO, although he takes away from the enjoyment of the site by constantly interupting the flow of useful and/or interesting threads, he hasn't done enough to be booted. If anything he is a constant reminder to all of us how pathetic it is to go through life constantly justifying - to anyone and everyone - what we have or what we do. I just don't understand why its so difficult for him to understand or accept the fact that this is a site that is dedicated to Hayabusas and Hayabusa enthusiasts.
In general, people who pester or badger do not just do it in one area of their lives. I strongly suspect that this guy constantly badgers people who have what they feel is a better house, a better car/truck, a better (whatever)? The difference is that they can close the door, turn and walk away, or avoid social gatherings where he might be. We cannot. Sure we can ignore him, or skip over his comments, but we can't ultimately shut him out like we can in the real world. He knows that...and thrives on it...pathetic.
How about other options, Dennis, like...
- Maybe someone could write a utility that we could add to our profile that omits from our view any/all posts by a particular member?

Also, Phantom12 even said himself that the two bikes are extemely close with the Busa being just a sliver faster. The rider makes more difference than the bike does. NO ONE has argued against this. So what is it exactly that you guys are trying to accomplish here? What is your argument today??

Have a good life and ride safe. I think as you get older you will find that all things change. I used to race Kawasaki and bled Kaw green. Now I find that everyone has different needs and expectations, even from the same bike as you've seen what I do with mine. You live in a state where you can ride 12 months a year. Spend some time riding.

4. I think banning someone because you don't like the individual or you don't agree with what is said, is a bit much. If the individual broke the rules that he was aware of, then that's a different issue. Otherwise, if you don't like what is being posted by someone, then don't read it.

Never claimed to be a super jockey!!!! I'm 230lb 6'2".... with about 8-10 passes down the strip... EVER. Best run was 10.23@140.9.... stock motor.... into a headwind....
Again, that's about average for your normal joe with little to no strip experience and a stock motor.
I'm sure if I went a few more times.. I'd be in the 9.9's on my stock motor....no nitrous.
1st time at the strip - 10.7's
2nd time at the strip - 10.5's
3rd time at the strip - 10.2's (stock arm, stock gearing, all motor)
See a pattern? You either gotta be very talented or lucky to get into the 9's on an untouched stock motor, with a stock arm, with stock gearing.... especially when you're 230lb's and you can count all your passes on your hands!!!

Well, just a little update....I was getting out of work last night and guess who's sitting there right next to my bike on his Hayabugly? Yup, #4 on my list of beaten busa's (see above). Wanted a rematch I guess. We went out to a little side road..no traffic and got it on..again.
30mph roll-on.... we jumped at the same time and I just pulled away easiliy.
Heads up from a light.... I cut the quicker R/T and left him for dead at the light...I let off throttle about 1/4 mile later and looked behind me only to see him 15 bikes back and trying to catch up.
We then went from another 30mph roll on...only this time I gave him the jump and about 3 bikes before I went after him. By 2nd gear I was flying up by his side and pulling away.
I then told him to pull over at the gas station so we can "conversate"....He bailed out and went home instead.
All this...No Nitrous whatsoever.
Also, a couple weeks ago I was at the local hooters for bike night and ran into this shittalker I met on a Busa who talked down to the 12R for 2 hours before he raced me...after I smoked him he wouldn't come back to hooters. So this time that I saw him...I asked him what happend with that race (with a grin on my face). He was singing a different tune this day and started telling me how fast my ZX is...but claiming I have so much more work done to my bike. He didn't believe I had a 100% bone stock motor.
This is one wacked fuk. He actually believes this crap, and that's scary.
It's those damn 155hp stockers that give him the most fits though.. :lmao:

Do you realize that the mid range on your bike might be off a bit? Not trying to bust on you but that MPH is low for someone even at your dressed out weight for a 12R. You should be about 144 with your weight on a 12R in the 1/4. I know the 1/4 isn't your gig but alot of that 9/10'ths is spent accelerating theu the mid on the bike after each shift...

Actually your gear change should be at a differet rpm for each gear to optimize aceleration. That rpm has to calculated given the rpm range for each gear you will be in and your power curve for that rpm range. With the big drop in rpm from 1t to 2nd gear, yes, you pretty much need to run it to the limiter. But, if you do the same in the 5th to 6th gear change, you may be cheating yourself out of some power.

ICEMAN weighs in at around 55lb less pounds than I do... and is much shorter....
Less weight + less frontal area = Speed
Rule of thumb is that it takes 5rwhp to counter an extra 20 pounds of weight... so in that case, it would have taken almost 15rwhp more on my bike to match his acceleration.... Everything else is just rider skill.
What a coincidence... ICEMAN and I were running identical MPH on that race...

Its not showroom stock, its lowered 1.5" THATS IT !
I was going to put a 17 tooth on the rear but I dont want to hear,
but he had a different sprocket,
this bike still has all the reflectors on and mud flap of a fender also.
And 3 H.P. makes up 1 MPH and so does 20 LB'S
so if you are 55 LB's hevier than me,than you are giving me 18 H.P. on wieght, but you have 22 more H.P. so I am at a disadvante of 4 H.P. and the biggest thing of all, I fall short on power I cannot rev my bike out the power stops early i have no pipe, stock cloged up exhaust !
So when i am at lets say 11,000 on my tach you are making much more than 22 H.P. on me, because I am at less than 155 H.P. at 11,000 rpm's.
Example= 2 bikes both make 177 h.p. wich is not the case here i only make 155 h.p.
Bike #1 has pipe and makes peak at 12,000 to limiter
Bike #2 no pipe & makes peak H.P at 10,500 and starts losing power after
wich bike should go faster in a long mile reving out all gears to
top of 6th gear ??

As far as pussies go - in 02 i was riding a VX800 with a top speed of 120 - the Busa was a hell of a big jump for me and i did pussy out at 176 - as i said Phantom - MUCH has changed since then. Maybe it would be better if we didn't meet as i have no patience for shit talk face to face or any patience for excuses - and my temper is very bad as well. One of my better attributes if i must say so myself... :twisted:
It's a Busa site so admin will do what it wants - deal or leave. And many people on this board have owned or do own or will own 12R's and they are very welcome - F and P are the only ones getting dogged.
And if Suzuki doesn't do the Busa justice for 06 and Kawasaki does do the 12R justice then i may be a 12R owner myself but untill then the Busa/12 debate is just like the Mustang/Camaro debat of old...

I never claimed to be an unbias source of data... but I do tell all sides of a story. Todd has a reknown talent for taking things out of context in favor of the Busa, regardless of the issue... he'll find a way to shine the light on the good and dim out the bad.
As for 02SE not caring about my opinion... that's all fine and dandy, but why is it that he'll stop to no end to prove me wrong or put me down on every thread... yet he neglects this golden opportunity to prove he's not just a bench racer? I don't buy it. If he could post a GPS reading that would shut me up... he'd do it in a heartbeat. As for me losing to ICEMAN on the stocker... I do believe EVERYONE here ragged on me for it.. and I mean everyone. Repeatedly I might add. Not that it's a big deal... doesn't bother me much seeing as how everyone who talked shit, wouldn't be able to beat that stocker either. My point was that everyone emphisized that I lost to a stock busa.... while ignoring the fact that all the piped busa's out there were losing just as bad to ICEMAN on his stocker. SHOW me. I can sit here and say I won't chicken out at 250mph... but until I've been put in that situation, nobody knows for sure.
We both know your bike has the power to pull 200mph on GPS in little over a mile... (with the proper gearing), so there's no excuses as to why you haven't done it already.
