hey husky.  i met you at bandimere lst year...i had the blue/silver 2000 (i was 19 then, now 20 if that helps).  i kept trying to hit a 10 but just never could (for those that don't know, bandimere is mile high..).  well, i got 11.15 at 130.82mph as best and wanting to hit maybe a 10.8 by end of this season.  hope to see you at the strip someday!

Hey Reaper,
I sure do remember you. You should be able to get in the 10's no problem.  Try some lowering dog bones and a lowering strap for the front.  If that dont do it, do the pair valve modification and air box mod.

See ya

but not exactly sure if i am gonna be able to make it in time to race...i have a test that starts at 4, so i may get out early, but i ride the light rail, so if i get there too late, i may noe race.  look for me though if ya go, i'm on a blue/silver 2000, and i'm 20.  i see husky there from time to time, so i guess i will see some of you guys there maybe tonight!

ps, is this busagirl?

Hey all.  Aurora area.  Plat, sorry I didn't get back to ya.  I'm thinking about running at Bandimere this season.  Only mods is a 43 tooth rear.  What do you need to race at Bandi, besides flip-flops and shorts?
I've seen only a few Busas on the road, I'm on a 05 black and red with black/red riding gear.
See ya all on the road or at the Strip, later.

you should be able to find rules for nhra (nrha...?) somewhere...but you do need a full riding suit, leathers are what they say are required, but i have suzuki ones that are kevlar or something with leather on shoulder pads and elbows and such, and they don't really bother me about it.  but they must ZIP TOGETHER.  you'll need boots that cover your ankles, socks that go up normal length, no short cut offs.  riding gloves, a snell rated helmet, i think SN 95 and later are good, might be SN 96 or something, but if you own an 05, chances are you have a snell that is more than acceptable.  i would recomend emptying most of the crap out of the bulb (just for lightness), having the bulb instead of pass seat, double bubble screen if you got one, or at least a clear one.  solids are hard to look through!!  i am gonna go on sunday if weather is good, look for me and i can help you out is mush as i can, though that may not be much....but i drive a blue/silver 2000 busa and have black riding pants (zuk), and zuk jacket that is blue/black with white.  shouldn't be to hard to pick me out, not many bikes normally.

cya there sometime!!! i'm james btw, and i'm a young gun! (20)

Cool.  Unfortunately I have to work tommorrow and will only be off Mon/Tue the next month.  I might be able to get up there for test and tune on Wed the 10th or 17th and will look for you (or anyone else) then.  Have fun at the drag, let us know how you do.   8)
Also, I have all of that gear, but I'll have to get a one piece leather (my textile/mesh doesn't zip together).  Even if I don't get the gear to race I'll try to make it up and at least watch and shoot the shiot.   :)

oh hey, guess what?  so the event at bandimere got cancelled on sunday at like 11pm for rain, but i had won the last race that i was in which put me in the top 3!!!  there was 24 to start, then 12, then 6, then 3...and then rain  :(   but, they have some way by looking at the times and i guess i did pretty descent, and got 2nd  :D !!!

so yeah, i'm gonna go there on sat or sun to pick up a trophy and whatever else they got!!

my final time slip i got a 10.949 and dailed a 10.9, so i was dang close to my time!!  and that was just the icing because my REAL goal for the day was to get into the tens!  my friend has a vid of the last race i was in running the 10.949, and when he gets it on his computer and posted, i will post it too.  cool, i guess i will see you guys there sometime in the future, so take care.

ps, i have heard from several people that there was a purse for the top three in all events...if so, does anyone know how much it was for ths one, the king of the street thing? (street bike eliminator)

Hey James, great riding with you at Bandimere.  Thanks for the drag racing tips (a lot different than launching a car!)
Anyway, I might make it up this Wed the 17th if I'm back in town in time.  I'll look for more Busas/ other riders if I do go.  I'll get 11s next time easy.  See you around, let me know if you want to hook up when I ride with my coworkers (mostly HD guys, but their cool).
