Title: Hazard Lights
Post by: Samurai-Jim on January 05, 2006, 07:06:59 AM
I have an 02, there are no hazard lights. But I need a right side switch gear and I found one from a newer bike that has the hazard light switch. What would you do if you put that gear on the bike? Would the hazard feature be something that could be hooked up? Is it worth persuing? Or is the switch gear even compatible to start with? I think I would rather not have a switch on the bike that does nothing. Maybe I could remove the hazard label and use the switch for a manual fan switch or something?
What would you do? :?:

I guess ..
#1 I am looking to make sure that the connector isn't so far different that I can't use it all together. And I don't want to cut the crap out of it to make it work.
#2 If I just plug it in is there a chance the hazard lights will just work? And if not can they easily be made to?
#3 If I can use the switch gear and the hazard won't work and I decide to use the switch for something else can that little triangle label be removed without making the plastic look like garbage?

Also while on the subject. If I had the left side as well with the "Flash to pass" button is that a direct connection, will it make the highbeam flash or whatever it does without modification?
