Title: Swerve's Turbo
Post by: Brains on February 27, 2006, 10:53:57 PM
Just got everything back from the powdercoater.  I had the frame, arm, and about everything that I could unbolt done in "dash black".  This is a new 4-6 over arm built by Anthony at Performance Trends on Gasoline Alley in Indianapolis,IN.  Got a new straight link to try out to.  This is going to be a project so I'll add pics. as things progress.  I've got a Boost Unlimited kit going on it and just got my lowered fender and 4" extended tail from Catalyst.  I've also had the forks lowered...thanks HOHO.

They are stock....I thought about it, but any aftermarket wheel I decide on is going to be a shiny black finish so I kinda wanted them to match.  Thanks for the compliment.

Got my Catalyst lowered fender and +4 tail in today.  Made a little progress tonight.  The reservoir caps are made by a fellow board member Ghost....they're chrome and look awesome.  These are Buell footpegs to provide a little extra legroom.

Little more progress....starting to look like a bike again.  Motor is back from the builder....thanks dragzooks@indy.  I had to send the swingarm back to the powdercoater...wasn't real happy with how the finish turned out.  I should have it back this week.  Turbo header and dump pipe and a couple odds and ends are going to the powdercoater to be coated or ceramic coated early this week.

Did you have the rearset bolts PC'd, or did you paint them?

Bolts and mastercylinder were just easier to spray.

On the plenum??  Probably so you can read it when you prop your tank open?  Paint was ordered from Color Rite last friday so I'm guessing I should have it tomorrow or Mon.  I'll probably take the paint and body work over to my buddies shop early to mid next week.  I'm just focussing on getting the plumbing finished up....still messing with the fuel system and vacuum lines.  I hopefully will get it started this weekend.   :D

It's a Boost Unlimited kit with S2000 injectors and an upgraded G20 turbo.  I bought it from a board member on Psychobike.  I don't think they are still making kits, but I'm really not sure.  Power well.....we will see on Sat. if things go right!!  Thanks

Trust me.....I know all about waiting on parts and powdercoaters!!  My shit took almost a month to get back from the powdercoater.  Thanks for the compliments.  It's a lot of late nights and money, but its fun and makes you appreciate it even more.  Well worth it!   8)

I think I know what the problem is now......I think the actuator is a 15 psi......I need a 5 psi actuator and preload it to see 7 or 8 lbs. of boost.   It made 247 yesterday on mark's dyno......still not right though.  Couldn't take it up to redline.   :x  Glad to hears is running good....about time you got that beotch running again.  :D

Yea....I know there is a lot more there.  I've got a fresh set of S2000's and a 15 lbs. actuator sitting on a shelf.  I put a billet rail on it, a big ass Bosch fuel pump, and big lines.  It's a 20G turbo.......if I wanted to run straight c-16, I could put down some BIG power, but right now I'm content on what I got for the street.  The motor has an .080 spacer, cams are 104/106, HD Carpenter valve springs, ARP studs, cometic steel head gasket, and the heads been cleaned up a little.  Clutch is stock with heavy springs and TMH slave support.  I've got a feeling next year I'll be putting the expensive gas in it.

One more shameless plug:
