I'm thinking about buying a Raptor shift light and was wanting some feed back on how well they have worked for you and what is the best color led to get ?

Raptor is shut down for two weeks. I have all but blue in stock if you want them.

WE have the red, simply to install and reasonably priced.

Awesome lights and great people to deal with.
One word of advice: If you run an airshifter you will require a resistor and a capacitor run in-line with the ground. Let them know ahead of time and they can send it with the light......

I run an air shifter and don't have any problems. I love the light.

I was told the blue is only for use in cars and not as bright out in the open, but a mate has one and it looks fine, even in the day time.

I bought the blue because it was supposed to be the brightest. I have it mounted like the one in Pan’s picture. It is very bright and I do not have a problem seeing it in daylight. My buddy has no problem seeing it at the making the 3-4 shift (near the 1000’) from the starting line at night.

The reason for the cap and resistor:
When I foot shifted, it worked fine. When I used the air shifter, it would reset the light every time I shifted. I called them and told them what was up, they said that the air shifter sent a dirty signal spike and that the cap and resistor cleans it up. They said that they would just put it in the light to begin with, but it is too big to fit in the housing.

Mine seems to work fine with the shifter. I have a vid of mine at the track posted on putfile.com. Check out hayabusa at the dragstrip. I couldn't lay on the tank so I walked it out easy. No laughing.

rosco, what was your FI ight all about?
and it looks as if the bulb rotates in the housing between shifts, clockwise about 10 degrees or so?

That FI light comes on every time. it's an mps kill box. I've seen others post on here that there bike does the same thing. I'm using the small mounting bracket that comes with the raptor light. It's the whole shift light moving in the bracket not just the bulb. I need to put a hunk of double sided tape on the bottom to keep it from vibrating back and forth like that. I didn't realize it was rocking like that till I put the camera on the tank.

Ludicrus- Just get a standard resistor and capacitor, solder them together and the tie it inline with the ground? I am having that spike problem like u r.

I have the light on my zx9 and busa and they work and look great.
