Title: New Bike overheating

My brand new Hayabusa is overheating! When I sit with the engine running for periods of time without moving my bike overheated. I turned the bike off for a few minutes, started it back up and rode it around a small parking lot once (10-15seconds) to park and the temp. went back to down. The indicator light came on while I was sitting still before I turned it off but the gauge had not entered into the red zone. It's confusing because it had only done this once and the other times it seems to be cooling properly. Thanks for all input.

Does your fan come on?
