I usually run low 10'2 with an ocassional high 9. Hope all you fast asses don't ruin my day for me. I will be open to any and all help or advice to improve my performance as I have just started racing this year. See ya there, I plan to have a great day win, lose or draw.

Ok I take back everything i said. There will be some good racers there that day(not me) who I am sure can help you out. Let me know who you are and I will Video your passes up close. That way you can see what you are doing and some of the skilled people can give you some pointers. It helps alot... :D

I'll find out in the next day or so whats wrong with my motor. Ryan said that I had 20 less pounds of compression in my #3 & 4 cylinder than I have in 1&2 cylinder. He is hoping that it is a ring issue and nothing major.

Blur, I can't race against Chris cuz I'll be riding his bike, but it sounds like we are a match- my 190lb tub on a SST-legal turbo Busa, against a flyweight on a sprayed grudge 1000? You must have wicked ETs with all the trash talking you do.  :twisted:

The 63.5", 3" clearance, Shinko-shod, single stage lockup, 2-stages of small-turbo boost Busa?   

It does OK, but it's set up for the 1/4, not the 1/8. If you want the break, we have to go all the way down the track. I need some room to catch up :wink:

No ZRX, we will be getting ready for Indy the following weekend.  I haven't been to Valdosta for a rental day, but I hear the traction is good pretty much all the time.

How about you stage with your back tire? That should get about halfway to the 60' with your bike...  :lol:

Track should be good, there will be cars there on Friday and Jr dragster races on Saturday. The only thing that could affect it is a hard rain on Saturday. I plan to be there for the SEMDRA race August 19 and will talk to the track prep guys about it. I will try to get them to VHT the entire 1/4 mile for us. If plenty of rubber remains it will be good for us. Should we consider running street tires in out side lane and slicks in inner lanes ?  How may will be running slicks ?

Ive never had a problem there spinning down track. Its that first 60 that concerns me. About half the time I have been there it was slick. Oh well...Ill bring the slick as a back-up 8)

should have her buttoned up in the next few days.  gonna take it to the local 1/8th track and test out the new toys before valdosta.   if all goes well i shouldnt be as slow as i planned,  i'll be slowER  :wink:

you can go fast with a short bike just add alot of weight to the front but i would rather go longer leave the weight off and plus it looks alot better.

Valdosta is a very nice track, they were my 2nd option to Gainesville....Their facility is somewhat new and it is a pretty nice and clean place to run at. I was pleased the time I have been there.

05turbo1000 has a portable dyno!!!  We could probably talk him into bringing it to the meet is anyone is interested.. His parts are on a priority list with Suzuki and we are hoping they will come in time. Those of you that may know him realize he is crazy and will be fast if his shit don't break. As far as the NOS filling station for Valdosta.....I have a 50lb bottle in my trailer. I can't fill up everybodies bottle for free but, I'll do it for what my gas cost me, which its about $2.00 per lb. Also, I will only fill up bottles 2lbs or smaller.

still haven't got the bike back, don't guess we are gonna get to go..........didn't want to buy in and not have the bike............he is having some wiring issues, friend of mine is to smart for that simple stuff ,like wiring the nitrous, so Cooper is having to go over it to see if we have it right, or if he made t over complex..........

If you want to spray then we line up heads up...

fastzx10 runs low 8.70's i think on a looong bike - him and blur would be good match...

It will all be fun.  I will have my FZ1 out there trying to run some 10.60's...

I've seen him go 8.80's back 6 mos ago and he has done a thing or two since then.  Plus someone was talking about his 5.60's at Douglas after a setup change as well and 5.60's on a N2O bike is usually 8.70's or better...

I will have my 49cc Yamaha Zuma pit bike there. It runs 8.5's in the 100 foot. Spot me 1,290 feet or 271 bike lengths and we will run heads up, you can spray if you want. This is going to be soooooooo much fun. See ya there.

Why do people always complain about the length of bikes when they make arms in any length you want?? If anybody wants a long one they can buy one just as easy as the one they have. I say buy what works for you and if someone has inches then deal with it, don't ask for shyt or go buy you one.

Well if you're riding a streetbike and you show up with  a+10" swingarm... it generally means you're afraid to wheelie or can't ride worth a damn.
I always find it amusing that someone has to be 68" on a 180hp streetbike....
Now if you're well into the 165mph trap speed or higher territory... I wont laugh at ya....lol. :lol:

Look at the pro 60" bikes... in the high 7 low 8 second territory.  Now thats fucking moving for ~1" over stock wheelbase.

I wanna know why folks spend $700, $900, or $1600 on a swing arm but cheap out and buy a $15 tie strap for the front forks.... now thats ghey (or ghetto) with a capital G.
If you'd spend alittle more time setting up your chassis correctly.... you'd go faster and not need a hillclimber arm.

I agree...I'm one of those that hates to wheelie! I have tore my tail light right outta the back of my bike, and thats enough for me. A pulling wheely is fine but the 12:o'clock stunta look just ain't for me anymore! :bah: :wink:

i guess you have haters in every crowd.  i guess you can't take into consideration that some people are building a bike and don't want to do things twice.  so if you have the $$ for that swing arm that will be part of your future completed 350+hp setup then get it.  you can practice now with your 180+xx n2o hp and get good at racing with the chassis/suspension setup you will be running in the future. 

or you could avoid the haters,  run a stock arm, slammed to the ground and then have to relearn your setup once you make the bigger power and put a different arm on there. 

wheelies are for people that want to crash.  ;)

Installing a swingarm/chain/ sprockets takes all of 2hrs at the most.  I just think its funny that some riders have no real throttle control and the first thing they need for

turboblew,  i think he took what you said out of context,  you were poking at the posers or even the slow streched bikes(me). 

and the short wheelbase racers are actually LESS streetable IMO because they have to be that much lower to help keep from doing wheelies. 

you can have a long wheelbase,  a little low in the rear,  stock forks and a strap for race day and have a nice street setup.  my bike is my DD i ride rain or shine,  so a super slammed short wheelbase bike will not get it done for me.

I agree on the chassis setup. Have u seen what all is hung on the front end of those 60" bikes? They dont need but 2 inches because I bet 30lbs is sitting 4 inches forward over the front wheel.  Plus with the Motecs , AMS1000's and Magnetti marenelli Systems , they could run traction control and it would take an act of god to find out. But Ideally a nice chassis setup is the wayto go. BUT if someone wants an arm, be it 20 inches over, letem run it. Just don['t ask for anything because you chose what worked for you.

About the swingarm thingy....I can tell ya, I'm at 8" over, lowered as low as you can get, Hyperpro race shock, strapped front end, and it will still wheelie at the drop of a hat. Theres no way you could leave the line on my bike and not wheelie at stock length, you would end up wearing that damn thing.
I have never understood the short arm vs. longer arm. Is it an ego thing? Is it supposed to take a better rider to ride a short wheel base bike? It sounds kinda like the twistie riders vs. the dragracers thing. Its not what you ride, its the simple fact that you ride at all.
If you ride a short wheel base bike and you ride it well....good job, you're good at what you do. If you ride a hill climber and you ride it well....good job, you're good at what you do. Hell, if you get out there and knee drag the hell outta your bike and you do it well...good job, you're good at what you do.
We are all bike riders doing what we do and try to do it well.
Honestly, does it really matter what ya ride as long as you're riding? :lol:

So I always ask the rider, "Hey...why you have the tire so far back on your bike?"... because out of natural curiousity I like to know how things work.
You'd laugh at some of the explainations I get.  Most of the time its "Oh the bike has too much powa" or some pie in the sky reason.


Anyway... the NO LIP is coming up in October.  Going to try to organize 2 bike classes... 1 pure street with some wheelbase/clutch/ tire limitations and one unlmited class.
Should be lots of fun since its heads up/ run what you brung type racing.  No times or mph posted.

No he's not being sarcastic at all....we are fitting all of the pipes for a good fit, we are having to merge it in with the radiator so the the exhaust is actually cold air being pushed into the motor. Its a cool plan / layout. I have it all drawn out on a piece of toilet paper...we actually think it will work though. :hellno: :lmao:

Hayabusa computer will take care of the additional fule for the added air charge if you move the IAT sensor in front of the discharge from the air shifter inside the air box . It is a fool proof plan using no additional parts except a piece of air line and a fitting. Probably $4.00 and a little time, how much cheaper can super charging be? Where am I? How did I get here?

I will be taking pictures Sunday. I will have CD mailers, get one me or my wife if you want pictures. Just put your address on it and drop a couple of bucks in it to cover CD's, Mailers and postage. Return them to me or my wife before days end and I will send you a CD with the pictures on it. Pictures will be in .jpg format so anyone should be able to use on their computer, etc. I would like to get a group picture on the starting line if possible.

I must clear the air a little. I have pcked on Blur with no mercy and he has stood the test. I only meet him the one time in Cecil and he seems to be a straight shooter. My comliments to you Blur for taking my ause like a man and look forward to seeing you this Sunday. By the way this is not a paid advertisement.

In the past I have road raced, had an AMA pro expert license at one time, Moto Cross raced, Enduros and Hare Srambles and now Drag Racing. In all of these the people were the iceing on the cake. I love the sound and smeel of racing, high reving engines, burning rubber, burning fuel, the people just make it that much more fun.

96 degrees and 86% humidity...

Took 4 passes to find the groove and i did horrible - GeorgeC was the only 8 second bike with a 62" wheelbase or LESS...

A bunch of turbo bikes make mid 8sec passes in the 160-174mph range.

Was packed - at least 40 bikes and 60 or spectators (maybe more) and was from 9:30am to about 5:30pm.

lilmike was hauling butt and so was his dad.  didn't meet too many people - i made 14 passes and took a nap today (i felt old).

I never lined up with Blur - he had a slick on his hillclimber. :shock: :lol:

For those that saw a red and gray busa with gold lettering that was me and I had a great time! Keith, we need to do one of these in the fall, I'll be there. I ran a best of 9.51 in the heat and was very impressed with the track, my first time there. Even the wife had a good time.

   Thanks keith, it was a great day yesterday at the track, we all had a good time! JUst wish we could have gotten all the bugs out of the bikes worked out! But the turbo bike is coming around went one 8.70  at 156mph with only about 13lbs of boost, i have to get the fuel right on the higher boost levels the bike was way to rich any higher than 13lbs. But the busa still has a bogging issue out of the hole. but still done a 8.83 at 167 mph. with a 1.72 60 ft.

Hhey Mike...Listening to you video, it kinda sounds like the kill box for your shifter is set for too much of a kill time during that shift. You may want to check it out.
