HELP! / Those darn rats - help needed to ID wiring - mystery solved
« Last post by mcguyvr on October 12, 2025, 02:46:30 PM »
Parked 03 40th anniversary edition over AZ summer - mice/rats had a feast.  Ignition coil wires and IAT sensor (+more?) chewed up!
Found this under the bike.  Help needed to ID where it goes.  Wiring diagrams and pics on internet aren't helping me.

The Wiring colors match to IAT sensor, which is chewed off....but why would this pinned connector be inline? Before I fix this last set of wiring, want to make sure.

Help needed to ID if it is really inline with the IAT sensor.  That would make for a longer IAT sensor wire.
Most of it (was) jacketed/sleeved but this 2-pin connector won't fit in the same black wiring-loom sleeve giving me doubts as to if it truly belongs as part of the IAT wiring...

I haven't (yet) found other wires of same color code chewed.
Curious why a 2 pin connector (doesn't look like any fuse in there) is inline with this IAT sensor plug.  Anyone have knowledge ?

Look familiar to anyone - or can you confirm this is in fact inline and below the IAT sensor?(left side frame).
Much thanks in advance.
McG

ps resoldered/connected the rest of the 4 ignition coil wires.  This is the last repair before firing it up - What a pain this rat...

These right here will do it.  Also, this is another proven brand over the years.

Good point - thanks.

Have you ever seen any that go slightly higher than stock?  I may have to race (LSR) on a rough track next year and am thinking a bit more suspension travel might not hurt.

I have these on 2 bikes, and they work great.  I'd be afraid of the cheap ones Ebay breaking.
