Been 258 MPH (1992) at Bonneville on 1000cc.  That's faster than Project 260, but I did it in a car!

Been 241+MPH at Maxton, on a Turbo Busa- and that's faster than Project 260, for sure!

Been 203 MPH at Bonneville on a 700cc bike, All Motor, no nitrous, no nitro, no turbo!  The record still stands in APG/G-750.

All motor, 17/39 gearing, hit limiter pretty hard, prob good for a little more with different sprockets.

115mph.     Just don't have the time to find the good road. The bike has been up to 150mph in 4th on the dyno. I plan to take us up to 175 when we find that road. 115 on a busa feels like 80 on a Duke.

How long do you have to be at your top speed for it to count?

I've known guys claim 180mph bacause the needle touched it for a second and a half. That can't be right.

Well, at Bonneville on one fast car run, I was over 200 MPH for MORE than 5 miles straight.

But I'm willing to accept a GPS instant reading.

Just the top speed, however how long.

After all, how long are the 1/4 mile guys at "top speed?"

Luap, change to 18/43 gearing (approximately 3.3% taller than stock), install a TRE, a slip-on (mine's a carbon fiber D&D), a K&N air filter, a PCIII and hug the gas tank like paint, and you're likely to hit 190 MPH. My 01 GSXR1000 hit 187 MPH (on a borrowed GPS) and I'm fairly certain I could have tagged 190 had I not run out of highway as it was still pulling.

While a GSXR1000 with the mods listed above can achieve at least, the upper 180's, a Hayabusa will still sizzle on by it once they reach the 150+ MPH. When I think about it though, it's amazing that a 1,000cc motorcycle can even achieve 180+ MPH, pretty cool!

What mods did your 1K have??? I have yet to see any 1K pull close to 190 real speed, except for Lee's 200hp beast...which went 195 if I remember correctly.

I've been to an indicated 200 on the Busa. For you 50cc guys I've got a 22cc Go-Ped that will run 43 MPH, little sucker is spinning almost 18,000 RPM to get there.

I've been 145 and workin' my way up. Stocker, but I did it at 10000ft. Still had some throttle left, but I had a tank bag and a ton of wind in my mug.    

I need to get this bike to sea level.

On my gsxr1000 I do 191-192 mph on gps every time
in the 9/10's still pulling with cams and very lightly cleaned head akro pipe, yosh ems.
the bike will pull 196mph toped out no problem.

Well, I sold the bike last year, and now have a 1k, which I'm selling this year for another Busa. Guess I made a mistake sellin' my Busa, and I'm gonna rectify that.
Anyone looking for a '2 1k with ~5k mostly stress free miles (yes I have opened it up a few times, but not in an abusive way, no missed shifts, etc)

SuperDave I dont have the time slip handy but I went a 4.71 @158 in the 1/8th and a 7.22 @ 194MPH in the 1/4

Po Boy, thanks for not being to brutal.  I'm only scared becuase I fixed the bike up from a fatal wreck that my cousin died in.  I'm not asking for sympathy but thanks to you that say something cause we were like brothers.  And yes this is somewhere to begin.  I have worked my way there.  But I ride on for him and me.
